Always check the web for Stay & Ski. When looking don't jump right in on the lodge. I chose the Chalets...they are just across the street. Great one bedroom condo. Plus, I paid $200 less on my package vs. staying in the lodge across the street. The staff and instructors are awesome at Angel Fire.

There was high winds today and they closed all runs except then beginner Greens by the lodge . Understand for safety However , The frustrating part is that the resort does not communicate with their customers on their website where all can see. It took 10'calls to the ski resort for them to answer the phone to see what the... More

Hi AA7671 Yesterday was definitely a windy day. We had over 100 mile an hour winds at summit and as you say, our guests safety is our greatest concern. We will typically have buses run to the back basin during such events but in the case of yesterday we had the rarity of both high speed chairs on wind hold.... More

You'll walk a ways from the parking area, and climb numerous stairs to reach the ticket office, but it's well worth it once you're on the Chile Express. It's a long chair ride despite it's swift pace, but it's also a long way to the top. Unfortunately, I was unable to enjoy many of the blues down the front side... More

Hi Oldcartrader! Thanks for your comments! We are now getting some storms and the mountain has a lot more of those trails open! Both sides of the mountain are in great shape and with the only two high speed chairlifts in the state, you can get a lot of cruising vertical in with very short lift lines! Time for a... More

All of the workers at the resort were very helpful and friendly. There was not as much snow as I would have liked for skiing, however the resort did a great job of maintaining their runs that were available. The rental shop at the resort had quality equipment. I would recommend renting your equipment from the rental shop at the... More

We arrived on 12/28 evening and quickly unloaded at our condo and headed out to eat to Angel Fired Pizza (see review). We skied for 2 day and our son was enrolled in ski school for those full 2 days. The ski school was AWESOME. $353 for 2 full days which included all meals/snacks/rentals. He had a blast and came... More

Dear Blakey Thank you so much for your candid and honest review. Early season and especially around the Christmas Holidays can be challenging for all Ski Resorts. Snow makes magic happen and we are blessed to have a terrific snowmaking system and crew! It does sound like your group had a lot of fun and some great family time together.... More

Started off badly with a late check-in. Almost an hour late, and when you just got done driving 12 hours, you want your room! The room was extremely outdated…we knew that going in, however, when your master room is two twin beds tied together, you can begin to understand how abysmal the rooms were. We received a call 2 weeks... More

Thank you for your review. It sounds like you did indeed get some misleading or erroneous information from whoever you talked to. I will assume it was the Resort Central Reservations not a local property management group. We do take reservations 2 weeks in advance and they are essential for Ski School. The phone reservationists know and understand this. You... More

Late checkin is a mess. Too many waiting, THEN they rush the few restaurants causing up to an hour wait. THEN up to two hours wait the next day to rent ski equipment! Ask lots of questions on wait times, whether to bring your own firewood, if they have WIFI and how fast (SLOW SLOW SLOW) when we were there... More

Dear Mickey6448, Sounds like you arrived on one of the days that we had many checkouts and check-ins. There were a couple of days that this was a challenge and we offered hot cocoa, cookies, and pizza to... More

Not the biggest or the most challenging but not bad for a place to get started skiing. Mostly b e.g. inner and intermediate. Some of the blacks are really blues.

Jim C. Thanks for coming back and visiting us at Angel Fire Resort! We appreciate your patronage and your continued support! We only came to ski on Christmas Eve. We were surprised to see that there were no signs of any kind for the cost of anything. There was no handouts for pricing either. Rivermates, Thank you for your comments! Most of our signage concerning prices are now electronic and inside the ticket venue.
