Tigers and wild life

Well I did see a tiger ..for all of about 2 seconds and on the other side of a valley but there was plenty of other wildlife to enjoy. Deer, crocodiles and birds.

This is the second time I visited to Ranthambore National Park at Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. I have seen the tiger from very close, its just amazing to see the leader of food chain, better you carry a good binoculars. If you are lucky enough, you can watch the Tiger hunting too.

Had 2 trip s into the park..... the morning one needed very warm clothing to start with...I even had gloves. but it gradually warms up. But will re iterate other reviews....it is very stoney and dusty....my husband was surprised I didn't moan!! But the experience was magical especially the 2nd one when we saw the tiger couldn't believe it.....tracked it... More

I knew that there was no certainty of seeing tigers but I was expecting to see other wildlife. As it turned out, we saw a few deer and some birds but that was all. The jeeps and very uncomfortable over very rocky and hilly terrain. We had great guides and drivers but after too many hours if being jolted around,... More

We had two safaris on two successive mornings in a shared jeep. The first was in zone 8, not zone 5 as our travel agent had assured us. We collected 4 others from different hotel and started our entertaining drive. Our guide was very good, as was the driver and we were successful in seeing a tiger, albeit through the... More

We had two game drives (AM, PM). Our guide was very good and we were able to see a tiger up and close in the morning. We saw deer, snake birds and many others. In the morning which was cold, warm clothing was required. I found the ride was a little bit too dusty and I was glad that I... More

We booked a canter for an early morning tiger drive. The canter arrived on time and the staff were efficient and friendly. We were so fortunate to see a tiger within 20 minutes of entering the park - all the other canters that we saw along the way had not seen tiger that morning. Because we saw the tiger so... More

I have been to ranthambore thrice, did 20+ safaris. I could see so many frustrated reviews here also with many happy reviews. Mostly people praise this place if they see tiger, and curse it if they dont see one. I thought of writing this un-biased review to give a real picture of what Ranthambore is all about, as per my... Had done 6 safaris and managed to spot the tiger in 2. the whole park is divided into 10 zones and you get safari allotted randomly in any zone. Gypsy safari seems a highlight for me as compared to canter though it is slightly more expensive. The park is spectacular and as a tourist i think i loved the natural... More

We went on two safaris in this park but failed to see a tiger. The game drive itsef was excellent and went through some very attractive parkland. The park guide was very good apart from not finding us a tiger but the chances of a sighting are quite rare as there are only about 130 of the species in the... More
