The temple is situated on top of the mountain hitch gives it the name ! The main attraction is not in the temple but in the view from above the breath taking view of river kavery and bridges along with entire Trichy city looking so young and fresh .I would suggest you to take your cameras and take shots !!

Make it a point to visit this hilltop in the evening or early morning to get a glimpse of the beautiful landscape below and the soothing cool breeze on the top after worshipping Lord Ganesha.

When to get blessing from Lord Ganesha. Bought Carpet grass garland and climb 417 steps. From there can see the whole trichy city. Nice view and on top got stall to buy drinks. Need to pay Indian rupees 100 to bring any camera devices including mobile phone.

Very nice to be in this temple.. Around 350 steps and didn't find much tough to climb but still elders may feel difficulty in climbing.. Car parking is a real challenge since all nearby roads are very narrow..

However there are various stops in between and you will not feel the strain at all. On the way up, there is a temple dedicated to lord shiva. Further up is a shrine dedicated to... More
