Another, must visit attraction in Agra. Excellent Moghal architecture and worth having a guide to explain the history. Sadly, some of the fort is inaccessible due to being occupied by the Indian Military!!

tajmahal is one of the wonders and all but if you really want to see how the emperor lived, you must visit Agra Fort. It's Diwan-e-aam, Diwan-e-khaas, and especially white Marbled Janana Mahal will mesmerise you. You might recognise a few shots from Hindi movie Jodha Akbar too.

I had toured the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort back in 2012 and I had made a promise to myself the next time I visited the Taj, it would be with my wife! That promise came true on November 24th and what an amazing experience it was for us both!

Considered to be one of the main sights of Delhi, I found the Red Fort rather disappointing. Few buildings were open and the whole area is poorly maintained. Rather considerable entrance fee to be paid cash. No water in any of the pools and fountains. Explanatory boards are acceptable.

Full of history. Great architecture and craftsmanship. Very important to have a good guide as it has a vast treasure of stories.

This was the surprise of our visit to Agra - which was primarily to see the Taj Mahal. But the fort is as good. Kids especially loved exploring all of the different rooms and passages.

I would definitely recommend a guide if you plan on visiting the fort. The views are very pretty and the fort itself has excellent detail, but the backstory and details are all excellently explained by a good guide. You can see the Taj from the fort, but all of the marble work and intricate chiseling overshadows that view. Definitely recommend... More

We enjoyed this site more than expected because it gave us insight into the life of India royalty, including visits to the apartments of multiple spouses. Also, excellent photo ops at various levels. Beautiful gardens.
