I reviewed many operators on line before choosing Blue Water Express based on on-line reviews. They were extremely professional, from checking in to loading luggage and looking after everyone on board. The boat was clean with all safety equipment. They were not overloaded and everyone...More

When the sea is calm the boat trip is ok. The boat has no A/C so make sure to find a place on the roof. When the sea is rough you have chosen the wrong company. The boat is way to small for some of...More

Like other reviewers I chose Blue Water Express based mostly on the terrible reviews of the other companies...there are so many horror stories I did not want to take the risk! 5 of us travelled one way from Serangan to Gili Air. Booking was easily...More

From the outset it is obvious this company has a high degree of focus on the customer experience, compared to its competitors. An effective checking followed by controlled move to the boat, before which you had access to tea/coffee and washrooms - also being offered...More

We chose Bluewater Express based on the horrible reviews of the other cheaper agencies. The journey from Serangan to Gili Air took about 2,5 hours, it was relatively smooth and the organization was good. The way back to Padangbai was a bit rougher, the sea...More

These guys were friendly, efficient and, most importantly, safety conscious. The boat was clean and solid, and the staff all wore the usual Indonesian smile. But beware the beers handed out mid-journey. Given the price of the tickets I - perhaps a little naively, though...More

This company is indeed more expensive than what you can find in the local agencies but it's totally worth it. They picked us from our hotel in Ubud, nice car with Air con, very organised in the harbour, they tagged and handled our luggage and...More

This was a great service! Super friendly people and very safe. The ride was bumpy but that's to be expected. The facilities were very well maintained. Would highly recommend this company.

Hi what is it like getting on and off the boat for a disabled person? (Type of MS- able to walk, go up and down steps using hand rail however struggle with balance, muscle strength, stability and generally cannot carry on weight in any climbing situation or manage big steps-need to be able to use something to lean on). I've seen pictures and it looks like graduated steps with a hand rail will be ok to get up and down but I've seen people walking round on the side edges of the boat- this would be no good with the balance issue. Can you just stay on top deck and how do you get up there? It's difficult to explain but imagine a frail old lady with the spatial awareness and balance of someone who is extremely drunk. Any tips or advice or explanation of how it works would be really appreciated, having a bit of a nightmare trying to make Rhys trip disability friendly
