This is a very beautiful monument. In this place, the names of people who died during the Bali bombing were written. The place is in the center of the crowd, so we visited here, we were very happy to see the magnificent monument with original Balinese design. We hung out in one of the coffee shops next to the monument. ..

Of course, it's scary to read that mortification list on the wall, on a shiny black stone. Young people from many countries came here to have fun. The explosion was so huge it killed almost everyone inside. The house where the explosion took place is now gone. In its place stands this memorial. There were two explosions. One carried out a suicide attack at the Paddies pub in Ireland, then a car exploded nearby, outside a nightclub. After the explosion, a massive fire broke out in a nightclub, spreading to another nightclub, also full of people, and then engulfing a total of 20 other neighbouring buildings. A total of 202 people were killed in two explosions and a fire. Stand by the memorial, think about it, remember the dead.

2023/2024. A must place to come to when in Indonesia. Take time to reflect on how precious life is. A site of such sadness & disbelief. To think soooo many people just enjoying life lost there life. The many people to be scared from this true tragedy of evil is hard to comprehend.

A nice and different place. It is also a meaningful place. That's why it's quite crowded. Coming and seeing it in the crowd adds a different atmosphere to this place. We sat, drank tea and coffee and spent time.

We make it a point to visit Ground Zero Monument and pay our respects to all those who lost their lives and to those who had their lives changed for ever each time we visit Bali.
The Monument is a permanent reminder of the tragedies past and offers a symbol of hope and respect for future generations.
Like all buildings and structures on going maintenance is required, this is no different to the Ground Zero Monument
There is work required to repair some of the Stainless Steel fittings.
There are paving stones and paving tiles that require replacing.
The Memorial water feature along with the entire paving requires cleaning.
The Monument is a sacred site, one where visitors from all over the world come to pay their respects.
I hope those who are charged with the care and maintenance of this Monument see this post and act accordingly
Those who lost their lives along with their families and friends deserve this.

Our trip to Bali started from here. It's the first thing we saw. It is a warning that still represents Bali's growing internal conflict between unbridled tourism and the island's spirituality. A monument that recalls one of the darkest nights on the island. Not to forget…

We visited a few years ago with our children who did not know about the Bali bombings and again on this trip with my parents who have not visited Bali before.
The monument is beautiful but subtle.
I’m glad we were able to pay our respects.

Lovely memorial very touching great when the lights came on. I had a lovely tea at ground zero across the road and spoke to people who were there the night of the bombing. Watch out for scammers trying to sell their wares at expensive prices. Glad I made the effort to go from Seminyak to view the memorial

The ground zero monument is a simple and powerful. But more than the design itself, what struck me was just how crowded the Kuta area is - and how devastating that attack was 20 years ago. We hear a lot about the 202 fatalities but so many more must have been injured.
I will note, however, that Google maps has the incorrect location for the memorial. I submitted a revision to Google Maps to correct the error but who knows if it will be accepted.

A sombre place. This simple but effective monument commemorates the Bali bombing tragedy on October 12 2002 that resulted in the deaths of 202 people, mainly tourists.
As you can gather when you are there. The bombing took place right in the heart of then Kuta nightlife to cause maximum damage.
