The shopping scene in Kuta is wonderfully eclectic. The area's backpacker heritage is still apparent in the street shopping along Jalan Legian and in areas like Kuta Square and the Kuta Art Market, but as tourists have increased in affluence, so has the merchandise, and the shops that sell them (see Jalan Legian's brigade of boutiques and surf shops, or the many air-conditioned shopping malls in South Bali that have become just as much a part of the landscape as the candi bentar, or split gate).

The market is located right behind the Kuta beach (on Google maps its Pantai Segara) so if you have time to spare do give it a go otherwise there's really not much to see or buy. Bargain hard if you do see anything you like...More

Good market, plenty of stalls to choose from although it's all quite similar. Can pick up stuff there cheap if you can barter. Has all the typical tourist stuff there. Definitely worth a visit

We loved shopping here as did my teenaged but you have to be comfortable with bargaining. We thought our kids well and within no time they we off on their own doing it. Rule of thumb, pay under half they ask for.

I personally dislike bargaining, hence felt that it was a hassle to purchase stuff here. They LOVE to quote 100,000 rupiah, when I obviously know and have gotten the same item in other parts of Indonesia for 20,000 rupiah. Tried to bargain, but the shopkeepers...More

If you want to shop for local staff in a very small quantity, you might just want to visit this local market. The price gap is 1/3 cheaper than the things that you find along Legian. This is because the rents at the local market...More

Exactly what you would expect from Kuta markets. Can be very overwhelming for the novice but if you're after cheap, entertaining shopping with high levels of interaction then this is your place! A tip for rookies, learn some basic Balinese to say no thank you...More

This is good place if you plan to buy artwork from Bali. The painting work is awesome!! just get ready your money. But you still can negotiate the best price from them.
