It was a great way to spend the morning! We were taken to rice fields and told a bit about harvest practices in Indonesia, and then to tour a local market. Our driver/guide explained what was for sale and even helped us try and buy some unique Balinese fruits! After arriving for the cooking class, we were given a beverage and water, and taught to cook 15 sauces, dishes, and desserts. At the end, we all sat down for a meal together to eat what we prepared!

The chef spoke good English was very helpful. I loved learning how to make the sauces and the lunch was great with so much food we couldn't eat it all.
Very professional but still friendly. The market tour was especially interesting.

The cooking class was good, but felt like a bit of a production line. There was 10 in our group and then another 12 people came in and went upstairs. Also the compound we did it in looked quite run down and messy, which I found odd as we have stayed in many compounds and they are spotless .
Our host was good but I have done other cooking classes in Bali and we are more hands on .
However this cooking did involve a lot of there village to help with preparation and cooking. I liked that we could take bake food to our guest house to share with others .
I don’t think any Bali experience can be bad.

Had a great time at the cooking class. Hostess was full of local information and the market tour was a real eye opener. The class was held in a beautiful setting, very professional and informative.
All the dishes we made were so tasty. The Black Rice Pudding, which I never would have tried, was amazing. A very enjoyable time.

Great experience as an introduction to Balinese food. It was a pleasure to know what the markets had to sell and what was truly local to Bali. Very informative and well rounded. We even got to take some food home.

Fantastic experience. The teachers provided us with a lot of information. Before cooking we made our own gift for the Gods which I think was really cute. Process of cooking was very smooth and well supervised. We were told exactly what to do so nobody made a mistake. Would highly recommend the experience!

This was fantastic and far exceeded expectations! The entire class was expertly and efficiently managed and really special. A must when going to Bali and a brilliant way to learn - and try - local food. We went for my partner's birthday as he loves to cook and he wasn't disappointed!
We made 9 dishes in total including desert. Noodles, tomato sambal, chicken curry, satay chicken skewers, chicken in pandan leaf, and others!!
I did get tired half way through but they get you through all the courses very easily. They also took great pictures of us, and gave detailed explanations of the food, the spices, etc. There were 8 other people in the class all with their own cooking stations and it was nice interacting together.
We would add we had some problems getting collected and dropped off by the driver but overall that was not too much of a problem.
