Just a nice downhill cycle trek right? Wrong! It was so much more than I could have anticipated. On the hour drive that it took to get to our starting point, Putu our guide entertained us with jokes and stories and educated us in Balinese culture, he then took us to a coffee plantation where we sampled the ’catpoochino’ Lewak coffee, he was very knowledgeable about that and all the other fruit and cereal crops grown in the region. We visited the rice paddies and even had a chance to thresh and sift the rice with the local women in the field. The cycle was all downhill so everyone from the kids to the grandparents can participate. Along the way Putu would stop and show us various aspects of the rich, beautiful Balinese culture and explain its significance. The cycle trek ended at the Taman sari waterfall for a nice swim in the fresh natural pool. We then went to Putu’s family home where his aunt made us the most delicious meal I have ever had in Bali. I cannot recommend this tour enough! I will be back!…

Absolutely fantastic day with Jegeg. Pick up from Ubud at 8.30am. A short drive to some beautiful rice terraces, a quick stop at a local plantation followed by the most beautiful, scenic 1.5hr long cycle through the local villages. A truly authentic experience with the most friendly hosts ever. The cycling is almost all downhill so easy for anyone. It was great to learn all about the local Balinese way of life. Topped off by the most delicious home cooked meal shared with Wayan and his family. One of the best experiences I’ve had in Bali!…

A MUST GO !!! If you travel to Bali, you have to make a trip to Ubud for Jegeg cycling tours - it was a highlight of our whole 6 week holiday!! We were very kindly picked up from our hotel all the way in Uluwatu which made travelling up to Ubud very easy. The whole family were incredibly welcoming and helpful, they seemed very happy to see tourists in Bali after a hard 2 years due to the pandemic. The day was very well organised and took us through the stunning countryside with regular stops for picture taking, coffee & tea tasting and super interesting information from our tour guide. We even got to visit a waterfall!! I was a bit apprehensive about the cycling but it was very achievable and pleasant, predominately downhill the whole way. The lunch put on by the family after the cycle is fantastic, wonderfully authentic and left us feeling truly spoilt - a brilliant start to our few days in Ubud. We can’t wait to return one day.…

One of the best activity in ubud .. shud try this whenever you visit and stay in ubud. We decide to have half day cycling in the morning, with my husband and our two lil kids. Pick up at 8.45 am from hotel. The tour guide will give the best riding route Our tour guide is Pak Putu Suardana, he is very helpful, knowledgeable. We stop in few places and he explain all about bali culture. Everytime we pass by rice field, we stopped and he explain the process from paddy became rice, how people in the village help each other when the time to harvest paddy comes. Its FUN activity … try and booked it from jegeg bali cycling tours .. worth it … 😁😁 and we are very happy with the service…
