We did the Friday school, did not go to the market. Market tour is only Tuesday and Thursday. We had a largish class, but everyone got to have a go at prepping. We even had a couple of children in the class. Lots of laughs...More

I really enjoyed the cooking class with market tour. The market tour was informative and we were given the opportunity to buy things from the stalls. I really enjoyed the cooking class, however the group was very big. It was nice to be able to...More

I loved everything about Casa Luna, from their seafood paella, to the live music at night, the cooking class + local market tour, and just having lunch and chilling in the day. The food from the cooking class was the best meal I had in...More

The lesson was well paced, starting with information about various ingredients then moving into preparing food and then cooking a variety of different dishes. Our teacher kept the pace up as well as the banter flowing as she instructed us in a clear but entertaining...More

Really enjoyed our class today! Our teacher was really funny and knowledgeable. I liked that she pointed out replacements and to be careful here and there (like how Balinese Garlic is so much milder than Western or Asian garlic). We even learned about some some...More

i was attracted to this cooking school more because of a morning trip to the market than because of the cooking school itself (not every class includes this trip). unfortunately, while our "teacher" was very good at explaining, he still focused on the more familiar...More

You don't really cook, just listen to the teacher (a Balinese lady, who speaks really fast, so you barely have time to take notes) and watch how she and her assistent cook. Sometimes they ask for volunteers to give them small tasks like chopping things....More

Hi Janet and team, I am very keen to try the Palm sugar/sea salt day out but would love a bit more detail, please. And I believe there is a minimum participant number of 4. I am coming for a holiday with a friend who I am hoping will accompany me, but if it turns out that I am the only person interested, at what point will you cancel the tour and inform me? I am hoping to attend on Sunday 5 March 2017. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Esther Thanks for your enquiry. Actually we haven't been running the Palm sugar tour lately because the owner of the Palm Sugar farm is not well. Let me check and get back to you ok. Best Janet
