This is a nice waterfall. There are also lots of additional opportunities to experience, such as restaurant with booming techno music, the ability to visit the higher waterfall at cost, and an excellent donut shop with donuts that are like eating a sweet cloud.
Nice walk, steep stairs, and altogether another tourist trap that might once have been a magical, forest area.
Welcome to Ubud.

We went there as part of out Ubud trip, the area was not full due to being in November time and raining season
If you were lucky with your driver guide you would have nice photos around the area.
The waterfall was muddy due to a previous rain, and the side walk was destroyed from previous slides

It is quite big waterfall. But when I came it was brownish due to recent heavy rain. Still beautiful to see the waterfall. It is big. To get there is not difficult, so worth the visit. Going down is quite steep, I cheated going up by entering a dayclub there Omma, which compensate my dissapointment not be able to swim at the waterfall. Then going up with their elevator inside :D.

Tegenungan Waterfall is one of the beautiful waterfalls in the area. It is worthwhile a visit if you are in Ubud Gianjar Regency Bali. To reach the waterfall you have to walk down. Coming down is ok going up not so good unless you are fit. There are viewing platform on the way to the waterfall. Once down you can swim unless there are sign not to swim. Magnificent scenery of the waterfall. Fantastic for taking photos. Entry fee is cheap around $2.00 AUD or 20,000 IDR. There’s a restaurant on the way to the waterfall also market on the way back from the waterfall.

Takes about 30 minutes to visit this waterfall. Has stairs going down. Instagram spots with heart shaped wooden structures and wooden signs (like "hi mom, I'm ok.") Waterfall was brown and there was trash on the shore. Couldn't swim the day I visited because of recent rains. Nothing impressive.

One of the top waterfalls in the area. There are some nice spots to take some Instagram worthy pictures (birds nests, hearts, etc).

Did also see some people selling toilet access so make sure you’re sorted in that department before arriving.

Do note there is a lot (and I mean lot) of stairs down to the waterfall. Not too bad walking down but walking back up, for lack of better words, sucks.

The area gets quite hot so do bring some water. Our tour guide was a legend and actually ran back up to grab us some water.

Due to the unpredicted early start to the rainy season there are some things that we missed out on. The increased water meant the currents are stronger so there is no swimming allowed and the water is a milky brown due to the mud run off. You would also normally be able to walk across to the other side of the waterfall but the rock “bridge” was submerged due to the water levels.

Sadly, there there was a lot of erosion. Even a set of stairs only newly built had crumbled in certain areas. You can still get through but have to watch your step.

Will definitely be back in dry season and when a bit fitter 😂

Would be a pretty cool place in the summer but as there had been some rain the water was a little too brown and swimming was strongly not advised. A very touristy destination though and not really off the beaten track. Some cool bars around and plenty of shops.

The walk down to the waterfall is down about 160 steps and they’re about 2x the height of normal steps.

Beautiful waterfall, 20k entrance and great views from the top for those not wanting/able to walk up and down. Steps I would say 150 or so plenty of rest spots. The place was busy but didn’t feel overcrowded. No swimming at the bottom allowed - not sure why but this was clearly sign posted.

There is like a beach club place with an infinity pool and things in the middle.

We stopped there for a drink, however, tables have a minimum spend of at least 50k higher minimum for nicer tables. This was easily met between the four of us though. Once you’ve brought a drink there you can use there lovely clean toilets have a chill and then get the lift back up to the car park. Which was much appreciated as we were there for mid day sun.

Would recommend combining the waterfall and the on-site club to make a few hours of it.

Busy but somehow didn’t feel it. The waterfall was huge and has lifeguards for anyone that’s concerned. The entrance fee was 20k which is nothing. And when you get down there’s omha which is an amazing initiative pool area that looks over the waterfall great for pictures and just chilling for as long as you want. Noted that there are a few steps up and down but nothing too bad.
