About
Air Terjun Tegenungan is a beautiful natural waterfall located just a half-hour drive from Ubud. The lush greenery and picturesque falls are a great photo op to commemorate your trip to Bali. When the conditions are good, you can take a dip in the inviting pool at the base. For a bird's eye view of the falls, be sure to check out the viewpoint near the entrance. Also, note that there's a small fee to enter the waterfall. To make the most of your trip, take a guided tour to explore other waterfalls in Bali. And if you need a break, there are tourist shops and a day club nearby. – Tripadvisor

    Best part of our day
Wow what a day!! We had already been to 2 other activities for the day and were debating if we should bother !! Once we got there no one wanted to leave - incredible location and there is also a great restaurant and bar with a pool overlooking the falls - magical !! Take a towel and your bathers you won’t want to miss going in the water toward the falls

    Good
Nice waterfall, you have to go down almost 150 stairs to reach waterfall so climbing up again can be a big challenge for elderly and unfit people. However you are allowed to take dip in water and you can also climb up over the fall. The entry ticket is IDR 20000. There is also full market at the entry of waterfall and there is also one private club with infinity pool overlooking the waterfall.

Beautiful spot, challenging steps to get in and out.
Beautiful large waterfall in Ubud. The scenery is spectacular and you can swim at the base of the Waterfall (not directly under the water, however with the force it was coming down you would not want to either). Plenty of great vantage points along the way with Photo opportunities. The falls were flowing well when we went and the water was thundering down. Word of warning though ..... if you are like me and not exactly at the peak of your fitness (I am a pretty large guy and over 50), then the Steps down and back are a real challenge. Steep and a few hundred of them. The refreshing spray from the Falls is a great relief when you get to the bottom, however the trek back up quickly swaps that spritz feeling with hot sweat. There are a number of market stalls at the entry where you can get a cool refreshment on your way back out, if you can still breathe ! There is also a decent sized club playing music etc if that is your style

    Mystic falls
It was beautiful. A comfortable walk down to the bottom, then had the option of relaxing and enjoying the view, or taking a swim right there. There is another small fall just to the side of it. Also stone images to enjoy along the way. Well worth the visit

    Beautiful Waterfall.
Beautiful Waterfall. We really liked the views here. We were happy that they allowed us to actually get in the water to take pictures. Highly recommend visiting this place. Just a heads-up. The way in which we entered and exited required taking lots of steps down and back up. My hubby and I are relatively fit for our age but those stairs was a workout. There is another way into get to the wsterfall but I'm not sure if the stairs are equally as steep on that side.

    Expect lots of stair climbing!
A really nice place to visit though the waterfall is not as unique as some others in Bali. It's definitely worth going if you have plenty of time to spend in Bali, but if you have a tight schedule then it's not a priority. Also, expect lots of stairs to climb back.

    Okay
Only in Bali would you see a natural waterfall swamped by market stalls and a beach bar. We were a little disappointed there wasn’t much left natural about this waterfall, it was disappointing to see rubbish and you have to run they gauntlet of street sellers calling out trying to sell you things before you see the waterfall. There is a lot of stairs down to the waterfall which also lead to a restaurant bar. We are glad we saw it but probably wouldn’t visit again.

Tourism takes the magic away from this impressive waterfall
A beautiful waterfall with great opportunities to swim, take photos and climb to take in the impressive power of the waterfall. Be warned, there are a lot of steps to reach the waterfall and the area of overwhelmed by stalls and people which takes away from the magic of the place. Personally I’d recommend searching out the quieter and less touristy waterfalls so you can actually enjoy the beauty of Bali

Nice waterfall but ruined by tourism
What do I mean ruined by tourism? 5 swings (4 at top, 1 at bottom), a glass bridge, only souvenir shops on the hill down and a beach club that is massive which blasts extremely loud pop music. That aside, it is a nice waterfall but not the best around the area. It is a steep walk down then back up stairs but can be peaceful down near the stream and lots of people quietly building stone towers.

Decent waterfall on the way to Ubud
We visited this waterfall on the way to Ubud from the Bali safari. This was the only waterfall we saw during our Bali trip and were pleasantly surprised at the amount of water in it. Unlike others we ended our trip at Ubud and this place gave us a taste of things to come - we were treated and called out in Balinese hindi (Thanda thanda nariyal paani pee lo :)) on the way. It was slightly crowded though which is understandable given the easy access.

Save yourself the trouble - this place is nothing but a tourist trap waiting to take advantage of unsuspecting visitors.

Upon arrival at the visitors center, we were charged 20k per person to see the waterfall, which seemed fair enough. As we descended the steep steps towards the waterfall, we anticipated the usual challenges associated with such natural attractions.

However, upon reaching the site, we were met with overcrowding and disappointment. While we observed a swimming pool in use on the opposite side of the waterfall, the one on our side was out of order and emitted a foul odour.

Deciding to explore further, we crossed over to the other side, only to be confronted by a Balinese woman demanding an additional fee. Despite clarifying multiple times that this fee was for access to the pool, pointing to it, she even showed us in a photo, we were required to pay an extra 20k each to walk the short distance to the pool area. To our dismay, upon reaching the pool, we were informed that we needed to pay an additional 150k each at the entrance. When we mentioned paying the woman on the other side, the staff denied any association with her and showed no interest in rectifying the situation.

Their indifference and even amusement at our predicament led us to suspect their complicity in the scam, perhaps even benefiting from it themselves. We returned to the woman and demanded a refund, only to be met with aggression and derogatory remarks about being tourists. This unpleasant encounter soured what was supposed to be a much-needed day off from work.

In summary, this experience was not only a waste of time and money.

This is a great part of a day trip from Sanur. we included it with the abandoned theme park and the mini zoo.
the waterfall is beautiful with a couple of gorgeous infinity pool bars surrounding a swimming area. it also has fresh water pools that are little but very pretty to swim in. a heap of stairs to get down to it, so be aware you have to return! on the way down there are big bird nest structures to get your photo in.
so pretty and so worth the trip here!

This is indeed a nice waterfall, but a tourist trap! Long and steep trail down (and up again). In my opinion it was not worth the trip.

Loved the whole walk down to the waterfall and it was beautiful when you got there. Try and go early (before 10.30am) as it gets quite busy. It is a VERY steep climb with lots of steps. I was unwell but was able to use the lift at the Omma (had to buy a drink first) which meant I didn't have to climb back up. Not for those who are less mobile

Fun. First, know that it has A LOT of steps. Be sure to wear sturdy supportive shoes. It has a few spots where you can take pictures. The waterfall is nice to look at and you can get in the water if you choose. You can spend some time there eating, taking pictures and buying souvenirs. Overall it was worth the visit.

A Wonderful waterfall.

The only issue is the steep stairs leading to and from, so please keep this in mind.

You pay a small entrance fees, there is also ample pay parking around.

There are multiple restaurants and shops before you start going down to the waterfall.

But beyond that it a nice waterfall, they have free toilets and changing rooms close to the waterfall.

There is a nice swimming area below the waterfall landing, which is appropriately busy and one find their own space, we did not feel any over crowding.

A refreshing activity, which you can start or end with a meal or a drink at the restaurant Omma nearby.

A nice waterfall. To access this you have to traverse down many steep steps - the return route on a hot day may require a few breaks depending on fitness levels. There were a few people enjoying the pool, in the rainy season the water isn't that clear and appears a bit muddy. I'm sure the pool would have been enjoyable although we didn't bathe on this occasion. There are many places to take some nice photos and selfies along the way and a pretty nice looking pool-side bar, halfway down in case you need refreshments before or after the waterfall. All in all a pretty spot which can get quite busy - try to visit here in the morning if possible

A super popular waterfall. If you get in later, expect a lot of people. I didn't swim but the water looked fairly clean. Lots of shops and restaurants going down to the waterfall.
