The monkeys were very well behaved, I had no issues with them being aggressive, just don't be a stupid tourist and carry food with you.

Beautiful forest, cheeky monkeys and loads of tourists! Be careful with your belongings, since some monkeys are very happy to jump on you! Other than that, just let yourself get immersed in the beauty of the nature that surrounds you. AND if you are lucky, you might be right on time for some monkey diving contests by the ponds!

A really nice park to walk around and loads of monkeys that are ok if you respect their space. Heed the warnings about glasses and things; they will get stolen by the Monkeys. Nice place!

Before the visit I was a bit afraid of the monkeys, since I had heard they could be aggressive. During our visit they were nice and peaceful, we did not try to approach and we did not feed them. Good place to visit if you obey the rules, they might be aggressive if you tease them with food or go... More

It is quite a small forest with massive beautiful trees so lovely to stroll around. It's well maintained and clean. You can see a lot of monkeys - they are generally friendly but you still need to mind your belongings as they'll easily snatch your water bottle, sunglasses. Some people do buy bananas but its best not to tease them.... More

wonderful , must visit place in Ubud. the place is very well managed and the monkeys living in their natural habitat is worth watching. kids particularly will enjoy more seeing the monkeys eating bananas, groundnuts, jumping around , etc.One needs to be cautious all the time so as to avoid sudden close encounter with those tiny mischievous fellas with tail

The Scared Monkey Forest is only a 10min walk south of the main street in Ubud. There is a small admission fee, around 100,000pp from what I can remember. Once you enter through the gates head down the hill, skip the hordes of tourists with the first few monkeys near the fountain. There are plenty more down by the river.... More

I enjoyed the forest, its big so keep time to explore it, dont carry any open edibles inside the forest or you can be attacked by the monkey.
