Last year we meet Rakesh and his family at Jambangan Bali Cooking Class and we love it - just see our coments. This year we return to Bali and ask Rakesh to transport us from the Airport to Ubud - 5 star service again. Just stay tuned for the next chapters because we have more to tell.

I am grateful that I've been in their cooking class because you acquired a cooking skill that you can bring everywhere. Everything about this cooking class is easy and informative. Part of what you book is going around their local market, know different spices and other ingredients that they use and they explain it as much as possible. The place... More

The idea of cooking food from scratch is brought to a new level. First they take you to a local market where you buy all the ingredients for your dinner. You discover their version of a blender and have to put your back into mincing the meat. A fantastic experience, lovely hosts who really welcome you into your home, capped... More

We booked for an afternoon session, which meant we didn't get to go to the market and buy our own ingredients. However, we were collected from and returned to our Ubud hotel as part of the service, and when we arrived, the team had already started the preparation. Everything was explained clearly. We ate all the food we cooked, which... More

Our family of 3 ( 2 parents and 12 year old daughter) really enjoyed the Jambangan Bali Cooking class. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning and enjoyed a scenic drive to a local market busting outside of Ubud center where we spent time looking at the different spices, vegetables, fruits and other food options. Our guide... More

I had a solo cooking class with the lovey Made and Wayan, with some help from her cousin on the hot coals. Lovely house in Ubud, we did a little tour of the local market first then went to the house for the lesson. Very relaxed, started with trying local coffee, then got to work pounding the sate and curry... More

Honestly loved this experience, the family that run the class were lovely and the food that they taught us to make was super tasty. The whole morning session was well executed and overall a pleasure. The market trip at the start was also interesting and the guides/instructors were very genuine. Would definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants to... More

Everything about this excursion was very well planned and professional. We were all picked up from our hotels and explained the process of the class. The meals we prepared were authentic Indonesian food. Delicious meals although not much option if vegetarian. This is absolutely a must for any traveller and deserves thumbs up. Highly recommended.
