One of the best experiences we had in Bali, we were picked up, taken to the market where we were explained the ingredients we were going to use. We got to smell them and learn where they came from and how they affect the taste of our dishes and even western alternative ingredients for those of us who may not have access to them back home. We then where welcomed into our guides home which was very beautiful and we felt extremely privileged to be invited in, wayan was our teacher and he and his family were so lovely from start until finish. This class was also catered to me and my partner as vegetarians but not in a way that made us feel left out it was still very inclusive. All and all this is a must do in Ubud and worth every penny, especially for an all day experience.

We had a blast! The day started at a local market where Wayan gave an explanation about local products but also told more about Balinese lifestyle. Afterwards we went to the lovely family house where we had the cooking class. Our group was only 3 people so almost a private class. We all got to participate and made all dishes together. It was delicious!!

This morning we experienced this amazing cooking class. It was fabulous, our host and cooking instructor Wayan is the best, welcoming, lovely and of course a great cook. We made some local Balinese dishes and, the best thing, got to eat them to😉. One of the best experiences in Bali so far.

Great class i really had good time and learned so much about balinese culture.. first we went to the market and learn about different ingredients and spices then we went to the family house made some local offers and start cooking .. there was 13 person and we all shared making every dish together. The food was excellent and very delicious. I recommend this class to everyone coming to bali and want to have true balinese experience.. and thanks to waian for picking me up and returning me back from my hotel and for his spirit and good heart.

We got picked up from our accommodation, went straight to the markets for a walk around and then back to their amazing house to cook lunch.
Clean, tidy and enjoyed the morning.
Would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to cook a few local dishes.

We had a phenomenal cooking experience and will recommend the team to any of our friends that will visit Bali. A couple of highlights (as we are aware there are numerous other positive reviews):

- They had a class just for the two of us (couple) which resulted in tons of phenomenal food and we can only hope there is a bit less in larger groups
- We booked a PM class and the market visit (for AM classes) was replaced by a coffee plantation tasting which we enjoyed as a good way to kick off the session
- Every minute of the class was super well prepared and the whole team knows exactly what they do; you can take away the fantastic recipes in copied form afterwards
- We got a great introduction to how Balieans live, worship, and go about everyday life
- In terms of the quality of food, we found the dinner to be among the best we had eaten in Bali (and we had a number of great experiences food wise)

Fantastic cooking experience. Our group was aged between 4 and 70yrs and everyone enjoyed the class. We learned about Balinese family life and saw how the rice was grown and stored. We also loved going to the market to see where all the ingredients were from. The family were so welcoming and made it fun for all of us. The food was absolutely delicious!

One of my favourite experiences in Bali. Mr Rakesh is a wonderful host - knowledgeable, friendly, kind, funny. And his family are the same. Beautiful people in a beautiful part of Bali. An amazing way to get in touch / spend time with locals and learn about their way of life. Can’t recommend enough!

Oh and the food is Devine! And you get recipes to take and show off to your friends and family.
