Worth every cent. Food menu was fun. Small setting Veg and Regular cooking options available. You are in the middle of the Jungle. What an experience 10/10

A special unforgettable experience

Absolutely the most incredible special
Experience. To be able to walk through their
Incredibly elaborate organic garden, and be taught authentic Balinese cooking techniques with such wonderful, engaging and authentic chefs was so very special.

Best experience in Bali!
Feb 2020 • Couples
An amazing and unique experience! This was the first time me and my partner decided to book a cooking class and we are so glad we did. Both our guide and taxi drivers were amazing!

The tour of the market is great! you turn into one of the locals trying a range of different fruits and learning about what the different aromatics herbs and spices are used for.

The farm and school is hidden away in a small village with it beautiful natural charm. We walked through tasting and foraging for our ingredients. It was an amazing organic experience!

By far the best bits was the cooking and eating! Every dish was so delicious and all the staff were very helpful and patient. We will definitely be back to try the vegetarian menu next time!

More than a cooking class. A deep dive into how many other herbs and fruits we can cook with.

What a fantastic experience. The tour of the farm and learning about all the different herbs and fruits grown here was so interesting. And the cooking class was so much fun. Highly recommend!

A true Balinese cooking experience
We found this authentic cookery school on tripadvisor, we choose it as it had strong vegetarian options. The booking was easy, pick up and drop off from hotel was prompt and the class itself was fantastic. We got to pick our own veg from the farm and cooked 6 delicious Balinese courses with Tempe, tofu and the freshest vegetable, herbs and spices. We got to takeaway a recipe book that will tempt us to try at home! Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon with lots of food ensuring we were plenty full leaving! Deren, Augun & Ari were very helpful and knowledgable!

Boring class for the masses
Dec 2019 • Family
We attended the class after which we bought spices from their store. Instead of black pepper the bag was full of soil. Same with ginger. Avoid their store!
As for the class, the instructor was bored and not engaging, simply doing his job and counting minutes until the class was over.
There are so many ways to learn Balinese cuisine in Ubud. Avoid this one!

A really enjoyable experience away from the hubub of Ubud.
Dec 2019
We were a family of six (from Australia and South Africa) including two "tweens" and we attended the vegetarian cooking class. Harry, our tutor, displayed great tolerance and patience coping with the different age groups, especially when in the fresh fruit market and while foraging through the organic garden onsite. A thoroughly enjoyable cooking experience with great recipes which can easily be made at home. Harry's helpers were the silent little elves who miraculously cleared away the clutter and presented everything ready to use in cooking; now, if only I could have the same at home!
Compared to the inner-city cooking classes, this was set in the countryside, with a free shuttle service from our hotel, returning later in the day. There was no need for dinner that night. Thanks Harry et al!

Exceeded my expectations, highlight of my trip
Nov 2019 • Solo
Loved every minute of this experience and it was the highlight of my trip! The cooking station and dining was beautifully set under a thatch hut in the surrounds of the farm. Loved the walk through and foraging the ingredients with some interesting and sometimes funny info along the way.
There was sooo much food!! I did the vegetarian menu which had six courses (I didn’t expect so many!) All except the dessert are cooked by you (and one other attending the class) so it’s very hands on which I liked. The flavours, ingredients, colours, sooo delicious and everyone was so full by the end of it. The staff were all so welcoming and the continuous clean up was like magic 😊
I took a pvt day trip to Ubud from Legian specifically for this class and it was totally worth it. I was very impressed and highly recommend. 🥰👍🏻

Fresh, fresh, fresh!
Nov 2019 • Solo
Forest cooking school outside of Ubud. Pick up and drop off a Avila le for an extra fee, depending on where you are staying.

Regular menu cooks 2 appetizers, 3 mains, a paste and sambal. Dessert is also included but not made by students.

Green's are picked right from the farm and used right away in your cooking.

Small cookbook is given to each student, but instructions are clear and easy to follow, and resulting food is delicious and authentic

Would recommend!

Great family activity
Oct 2019 • Family
This was a very well organised and enjoyable experience with a perfect balance of food preparation so we felt we had cooked the dishes ourselves while not doing the boring bits. Your ingredients are pre prepped and given out to you at individual work stations for a pair. I really enjoyed the insight into what I've been eating in Bali. It is quite tiring as you're on your feet for a few hours but worth it. Our 12 and 18 year old daughters both enjoyed it - they do both know their way around a kitchen already.
