What a great way to spend a couple of hours. Our guide, "Asa Cheekyboy" (phonetic version), was a gem. He introduced us to the various plants used as additives to their products, then to the civets (who are responsible for the Luwak coffee), and then on to the tasting. As he realised our interest his information became more informative. We were presented with a tablet holding 15 different teas and coffees, each about demi-tasse size. As we sat a chatted about the products we learned how good his English was, and his sense of humour, and got some insight into Indonesian family life as well,
There was the option to buy on departure, without pressure.

An interesting experience tasting the many varieties of coffee and teas. Vey informative and in a nice location. Only criticism I would have is that I wished that the person serving us would have asked if we wanted honey and sugar in our drinks. They were far too sweet for our liking which spoilt the tasting for us. They are not pushy for sales and the only cost was for a luwak coffee that we shared. It was the best of all tasted, but too expensive in the shop.

Visited Lumbung Sari (House of Coffee) on the way north to Alila Ubud. My review mirrors the one @G'Day posted below (Nov 2022). After seeing and taking pics of a sound-asleep luwak (civet) up close, we saw demo/samples of the beans and roasting process before doing the tasting of various and unique teas and coffees (including kopi luwak). The tray of tasting samples was complimentary except for a cup of the premium kopi luwak ($50,000 RP). The Ubud coffee/tea tasting experience is reminiscent of wine tasting you might do at a vineyard and was a lot of fun. Afterwards, we went into the gift shop to purchase a couple of the teas and some kopi luwak to take home. From the roadside to the short circuit inside to see, taste and (optionally) purchase the drinks, the total walk is short (i.e. efficient). This was a really fun stop if you like teas and/or coffees and want to see some real luwaks (civets) up close.

We visited Lumbung Sari House of Coffee as a first stop early in the morning on the way to Ubud. We found the personalised service at rhis small coffee plantation to be nice. The young guy (apologies we cant remember his name) that guided us throughout was very pleasant, his english was very good, he had plenty of knowledge of the coffee process. The entry was free just you pay for the cost of the tasting and a cup of Civet Coffee if you choose to have them.
The tasting consists of a small sample of all coffees and teas made by the plantation. A ni e outlook to enjoy this, and there were not many people there. We purchased a couple of items from the store.

One of my favorite stops along the way! The owners really explained the whole process.
We ordered a tasting flight of coffee & tea & a cup of Ludweq coffee. Our driver got free samples too!
It was all delicious! we had so much fun talking and laughing, tasting all the delicious varieties! We felt welcomed, comfortable, and relaxed. After, We purchased items without pressure. The day we visited it was quiet & a bit rainy- but it was perfect they met us at the car with umbrellas! Excellent customer service and experience if you’re a coffee lover. (This is my favorite of the 2 I visited).

I am so grateful our driver insisted on stopping here for us to try Luwak Coffee!
It wasn't on my list of things to do but this place was really lovely and I'm so glad we stopped.
We had a lovely, friendly host who we were able to have a great chat with while we tried about a dozen different coffees and teas.
Honestly, I could have bought one of everything but narrowed it down to six different blends that I brought home with me.

VISIT: beginning of March 2020
COMPANY: Bali 4U Tours
BOOKING: through Chase Ultimate Rewards and many other tour sites
The coffee plantation had delicious drinks and with beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, by this time I was already feeling quite sick, but I do remember the coffee sampler was quite good. It was fun to see how the coffee was made. My husband tried the Luwak coffee and said I wouldn't like it lol. I do like my coffee strong, but he said it would be too strong for me.
BATHROOMS: are on site, down several steps. There was minimal toilet paper and hand soap available
We weren't able to finish our tour as I got sick on the way to the first site out of 5. We made it to two before I had to call it quits and the driver/tour guide was SENSATIONAL. His education was FANTASTIC and taking care of me, to get me back to our hotel he was great. Because of this, I highly recommend booking through Bali 4U Tours

This was a great and unexpected visit. It was part of a tour that we had booked and not being coffee drinkers we weren't sure we were going to like it. But the guide we got was amazing and it was very interesting to learn all about the plants and how they make their teas and coffee. Yes, there were some caged animals but that's only during the day as they are nocturnal animals they let them out at night. After trying all the different teas and coffee's we now know what we do and don't like, but it was a great experience. Then they try to get you to buy something from the gift shop (like any tour, of any place, in any country!) to which we scored a great tea that we can't get in Australia.

We had a good afternoon visiting and checking out Luwak Coffee. Our tasting board of 15 coffees and teas was nice. Some flavours didn't agree with our palette, but we went home with powdered coffees and tea after a visit past the store. I wasn't game to buy the local fruit at their outdoor stall. Nice trip.
