'LAMOIST' formerly 'Layers Batam' layer cake is proudly made from carefully selected finest local and imported ingredients solely to satisfy your taste buds.

For best quality please preorder by our toll free number or whatsapp us-

* We are in process of changing name to LAMOIST since there are at least 5 counterfeiter shops who are using the LAYER/LAYERS name in the malls now.

Our 'Lamoist'kue lapis is different from kueh lapis from other part of Indonesia which usually has a hint of 'spekoek spice'. It is unique, with pure Australian butter as the main ingredient to form the rich moist layers, baked layer by layer to perfection, the LAMOIST way.

Quick Note : Be alert that there are Lamoist and Traditional grade of Layers kue lapis, which can be easily identified by its box and top print. Please check out our website for more details. For delivery orders during weekends, we would recommend you pay in full, so there's no need for you to wait in the hotel lobby since the delivery guy and the sales is different guy, and will not recognize you. We would usually pass the cakes to the receptionist or concierge, at which you can later pick up at the time of your convenience. We apologize for the tight arrangements.

Nutella flavoured Kueh Lapis

Bought a Nutella flavoured Kueh Lapis during my recent visit at Batam. It was nice; the chocolate is rich but not sweet. Will definitely buy again.

not overrated at all, definitely worth your effort to purchase for e.g. of a similar half-kg kueh lapis, though it is not exactly that heavenly! (I find the premium ie made of butter, compared to the cheaper traditional magarine jus made of slight difference, hence you really do not need to go for the premium one, I prefer it more natural... Hi Jay, This is Joe from Lamoist. The main difference between the premium and the traditional lapis, is that premium uses pure Golden Churn butter (we are the only one given certificate by Ballantyne), less sweet, and more fragrant, while the traditional is sweeter, old Indonesian style lapis, with a hint of cinnamon. Guessed its up to everyone's different taste... More

Hi Hilyah, Thanks for your sharing your experience. Hence, we have 2 types of Lapis at all our outlets. The premium grade is the one with pure Golden churn butter, and you should be able to taste how moist our cakes is. This grade is invented for us who prefer the butter fragrance, less sweet, in contrast to the old... More

There are many stores offering layer cakes in Batam. I tasted all the stores in the mall and decided on Lamoist. For the original layer cakes they offered margarine (the healthier choice) and butter. I find that the butter one has a richer taste, it's softer and more aromatic buttery smell.

There are many types of cakes flavor as well as 2 sizes. Do note the prices will be different.. I usually will buy the original big size one with butter flavor (IDR 210,000 thereabout). If you buy more than 5 big ones, they will send it to your hotel. Alternatively, if you purchase up to 10 small ones, they will... More

Ordered the cheese kek lapis on Saturday at Batam City Square, collected at same outlet on Sunday. My mother, who is a big kek lapis fan, was very pleased with the freshness and flavour of the kek lapis, which was rich, buttery and had cheese in the different layers with a generous topping of cheese on top. Will definitely order... More
