The lake has a beautiful view, almost as though it was too good to be true. The breeze was enjoyable as well, as it keeps you cool. When the weather is clear, you can see the entire lake from the road with 44 corners. When it is not sunny and clear, it is said that the lake will be covered with fog. My last visit to Maninjau Lake was end of 2016 after previous visit in 2015. I spent an afternoon for a coffee at a cafe nearby the lake. We passed the famous kelok 44 to get thru to Lake maninjau. Its a vast lake surrounded by mountains and small island. Local people set up fsmall fishing port along the lake. Located in the center of mountains around. After passing through 44 times turns through the hills, with friends, we enjoy the view. The water was so calm. The lake is being used by local people to grow fishes with traditional ways. Unfortunately we could not find the part of this lake where the center of crowds.

Indonesia have many and beautiful lake but unmaintained.Some place was dirty, usually if people can reach lake side.If you like take a photoshoot maybe you can see others review to take best picture but if you want to go swimming not recommended.Just to see the greatness for Alloh, yes this is the place. سبحن الله

To get a nice view; go to Puncak Lawang. But Puncak Lawang might not suitable for elderly since you need to hike a bit (by stairs).
