Beautiful beach with right and left waves reachable from the beach
There is a kiosk for drinking/eating
Sunbeds with mattress at 100k per day (2 sunbeds + umbrella)
Frequented mainly by surfers, at low tide swimming is practically impossible. The road to get there is quite bumpy but there is the advantage that there are no sellers of sarongs and bracelets walking around!

We got told to head to Mawi beach as my boyfriend likes to surf. The road to get to Mawi beach is absolutely awful. You need a good car or a driver willing to use his car to get there. Once you are there, it is a slice of paradise. My boyfriend went surfing and it is a great place for girlfriends to lounge on the beach as there is a section of the beach that has calm water to swim in without any currents. There are also loads of places to sit either in the sun or shade and some great warungs offering cheap food, fresh fruit and cold drinks. Was a great afternoon on a beautiful beach.

Love this beach, even better than Mawun beach. This beach is located at South Lombok. The location are far from the main road, a little hard to find. I came here at Lebaran Day, and i found this is one of the beach that was not crowded by local citizen. I just loved the view, the sand, and the crystal water. But, from what i saw, the water at beach is deep, so i did not catch to swim. There are "warung" here where you can buy snacks or beverages, and also corn selller.

Hello,
I just want to add this review for anyone riding a motorbike from kuta to mawi. The road between mawun and mawi is very deserted and this makes it an easy place for people to rob you. unfortunately they tried this yesterday. Me and my friend were riding a motorbike on this road when two guys came up behind us, tried to rip my bag from my shoulder, I fought back and in doing so we had a motorbike accident. This is why they drove off. After going to the hospital and the police and coming back to our hotel we encountered Another (female) traveller who had the same thing happen to her on that road around the same time.. 4guys on motorbikes surrounded her and managed to steal her bag with her cards, cash and phone inside. This review is not to trash talk Lombok or Mawi beach. It is just to inform people to please be wary of your stuf when driving this road. When talking to some locals they told us this happens there because it is an abandoned road and some toerists drive slow enough to target. So please dont wear any important items on you while driving. Put it in your buggy or between your legs and make sure to drive a bit faster when in abandoned areas.

Pantai Mawi or Maui it was located in Central Lombok. exactly in west part of Kuta Lombok.if you love surfing mawi is good spot, beach break and left handle recommended for goofy style. If you want to see it swell, how big the wave today you may browsing the information at Magicseweed.com or surfforecast.com. the beaches it self yes very nice with white sand, climb to the rock to take a picture was great result. Here there are some seller that selling coffe, snack or some drink. The entry ticket for motorbike rider it is 5000Idr. Car 10.000 Idr. To get here if you start from Kuta Lombok you may rented the motorbike with budget 50.000 Idr. and the duration it about 30 minute from kuta, 10minute from Selong Belanak Beach, 1 hours from Lombok International Airport, 1:35 minute from Senggigi and 2hours from Gili Trawangan. One thing you have to know Mawi is never quiet. Many western people do surfing in everyday in here.

The road in is not for the faint of heart. Do not give up halfway and walk. Your scooter will be stolen immediately. It will be fine if you make it to the beach. Fun, chill, and very local vibe. Great waves.

This beach is just stunning, we just loved it. It is probably one of the nicest beaches I have ever been to. The waves are powerful and there quite a few experienced surfers enjoying the waves. The beach is framed by gorgeous rock formations, which make for spectacular photos. We went here in the evening and saw the most incredible sunset. Just to let you know, this place is not the easiest to get to. We travelled from Kuta to here on one moped. Now, the main roads for the first part are good but are quite steep in parts. The last 30min before you reach the beach is a gravel road (which looks like you are going the wrong way, but keep going..it will all be worth it). (TIP: The gravel is not the easiest and has many bumps and potholes. I highly suggest that you do NOT share a scooter, but instead get one each if there are two of you. You will be more stable and it will make your road journey more enjoyable and ultimately more safe. We had great difficulty getting up the hill the first day when we shared the scooter! So be warned). All great things come at a price and all the best beaches have the worst gravel roads, such is life. It is definitely worth it! We recommend you bring food and bears with you and spend the day. There are a few huts supplying beers and snacks, but not a whole lot.

I only visited Mawi Beach once as it was an 18 minute slow bumpy ride in the car. I really really liked it. We visited on low tide. I was absolutely amazed at the amount and variety of sea creatures in the intertidal rock pools. There were seahares, sea slugs, nudibranchs, crabs that looked like rocks, many types of sea urchins, blennies, hermit crabs, seastars and so much more. My 4 year old son loved it. Beautiful sunset at Mawi beach. My husband surfed Mawi everyday for 16 days. There’s a warung and a toilet. There’s a few shelters and some trees for shade.

After a bumpy ride you enter to one of my favourite beaches near Kuta. It is not as crowded as some other, has some nice warungs and a great vibe. The fresh pineapple juice was one of the best in Indonesia!

Great spot for surf when conditions are right. Not too busy when we were there. Couple of peaks, locals friendly and everyone happy to share the wave. Track in very bumpy, but passable in car or on bike. No toilets - well, there is, but I wouldn't send my dog in there!! Few small warungs. Had a tasty Nasi Goreng from Mawi Beach Cafe. Swimming best at high tide, low tide you'll be sitting in a couple inches of water.
