Nice decorations

The inside of the church is much nicer than the outside. The decorations are beautiful, and it is kind of calm there.

The older (Greek orthodox) church, with many more locals and activity than the larger church of annunciation ten minutes down the road. Definitely worth the walk and comparison. A giant Christmas tree outside in the square with music make for a festive atmosphere.

A wonderful church, slightly beyond the busiest tourist routes in Nazareth. Commemorating the annunciation of the angel. To Mary, which the. Orthodox hold happened at a well. The spring is in the church, along a Byzantine passage with crusader tiling. A lovely spot to reflect for a few moments.

Beautiful church, within its humbleness you can understand that you are visiting something ancient and historical..I loved all the writings of the frescoes in arabic, showing that faith has no nation or race..peace to all...

This location might have been higher rated if not for tour groups. I could move around in here. And the rudeness of people talking even after being asked to be silence, especially while prayers were being sung.

A amazing variety of character, orthodox and crusader architecture as you move through the church to the earlier Mary's Well. Believed to be where the Angel first spoke to Mary

It is a real poty this santuary is over looked by many toirists and pilgrims. The best part of the church is the underground waters running under the church. The church is in the center of town; near by toilets and restaurants. If you have time while visiting Nazareth have it look!

St. Gabriel is a Greek Orthodox church, built on the spot where the well Mary was believed to be drawing water when the Archangel Gabriel appeared to her to tell her she was to bear a son, Jesus the Messiah. As is common with churches of ancient times, and especially in Nazareth, a succession of churches were built one over... More

I live at Nazareth city, and this church is our family church... It's been built above the real Mary's well... Known between the local people as the annunciation church for the Greek orthodox. The mass is at Sunday's morning at 8:30. And at the square there is a lot of restaurants that have delicious food and while you sit in... More

One of the spots vying to be the place where the Angel Gabriel spoke to Mary and told of her destiny. This is a Greek Orthodox church built atop the remains of a Crusader one. You can see the spring of Nazareth within the crypt.
