It was not easy to find this open air museum, also known als Ancient Park. Signs and explanations are in Hebrew. There was no guided tour. It shows mainly old crafts and buildings from the Talmudic period. A rather nationalistic and propagandistic film is shown about the origine of the Mishna and Talmud. Not being an orthodox Jew, I felt... More

We met with the director of the Kabbalah center, learned a little about Kabbalah and heard from 2 amazing musicians playing on instruments from the 19th century

What a little gem of a town! If you want to see some mystical Kabbalah art or just walk through this architectural treasure, spend a morning here. Gorgeous alleys and beautiful galleries.

beautiful city with beautiful people, very spiritual, but very dirty, it seams that the city hall is not doing nothing for this old beautiful city.

The old part of this town, where the artists' shops are located is quite charming, as are the old synagogues. But the town generally is very run down and dirty. It could do with some volunteers to clean it up.

It's an interesting and inspiring experience, out of routine , will deepen your thoughts and maybe enlighten another way of thinking. Moreover, will teach and amend perspectives.

Tzfat is yet another wonderful area where you can see so many Beautiful synagogues, artist colonies, candle factories and more. There are so many places to try foods from the area.

Our group stopped in Tzfat during an 11-day non-religious tour of Israel. We first visited an art store before visiting the Rabbi Yosef Karo Synagogue. The building itself is unremarkable since it was originally built as a house of learning and not a synagogue. Our guide gave a talk on the Kabbalah while we sat looking at the oddly-colored blue...
