There is a nice hike out to an incredible view of the Sea of Galilee. You are way up here, very worth seeing. Plus there is a lot of history at this site.

So easy to get there, and such a reward.
The best is at sunrise...but the site is closed then, but sunset is also amazing.
The view on the lake and far away till the Golan and way after is fantastic.
You just have to hope for a clear day.
You can take the short walk, not tiring at all and you get the best of this site, meaning the amazing view on the lake and the surroundings so far away.
You'll see the cities and villages around as well as other archeological sites (just look at the pictures)
But you can also make some sport of it, only if you're fit because it is rather steep.
Your choice of course, but be careful if you do that in Summer!
Plenty of water, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen of course.
Enjoy!

Impressive views of the Lake of Galilee, and the cliff is on top of the mount, we were due to go down the trail but due to the fact that it rained a few days earlier the trail was closed, and it is very steep as well.
Worth visiting on a clear day.

Arbel cliff alows you stunning views towards mount Nitai, Wadi Hamam, Migdal and Lake of Galilee. The main trail which includes the caves and fortress ruins requires going down and climbing and takes about three hours. We took a shorter and easier trail alnog the cliff. Do not forget to stop down the road at the Arbel Synagogue ruins.

We had a tour guide so all was explained and we were fascinated by the shear amount of history surrounding the area.

This is a great view of the Galilean region. You can get some spectacular shots of the Sea if the sky is clear. You may also get to see some hyacks climbing around.

Came here on a pilgrimage of the Holy Land. This is not usually on the tours but our pastor requested it be added. You can see all of the places that Jesus walked during his ministry in the Galilee region. The view is spectacular. Not to be missed. The walk up was about 250 feet and not a bad climb. We had several older couples with walking sticks in our group and they made it just fine. Not more than a 5 to 10 minute walk.

Is it a
Dangerous hike?
Are there tour guides ?

There are no tour guides, at least there at the park. One might find a guide in Tiberius, but the park isn't so complex that a guide is needed. The hike is well marked and trail is well marked in English. As far as dangerous, the hike down, around and back up again does require some moderate level of fitness, dexterity and mobility. There are ample fixed handholds going up and down the cliff face, and if one is careful, there is very little danger. Kids would need some supervision especially if they were prone to pushing or shoving one another.

I went to the website you suggested, but it was not in English. How can I change the language?

How did you get to Arbel National Park from Tiberius? We are going to visit Israel in December/January with a large group from our church. We have been before and are looking for things to do that we have not seen before. We will be in Tiberius for 3 nights and on one day while our group is touring sites that we have already seen we thought about exploring Tiberius and surrounding area on our own. Is that safe and possible for a couple ages 67 and 69? We are in very good shape and are experienced world travelers. How would we get to Arbel? I have read reviews that the hike is treacherous and some say it is not that bad. What are your thoughts?

Hi. Yes you can. There may be a place that you will find it hard, if it was to climb from Migdal area to the top of the mountain. But if you go from the other side. with your bus, that will take you straight up to the place and will have no difficulty to visit. Make sure you arrive in within the hours the park is open.
