The Sea of Galilee is an extensive body of water that is also known as Lake Kinneret. The lake is in northern Israel. The disciples of Jesus fished here; they became "fishers of men." An ancient fishing boat has been restored; it's known as "the Jesus boat," which may have been a relic of Jesus from history.

The Sea of Galilee is in northern Israel. It's also known as Lake Kinneret. The Sea of Galilee has featured in the story of Jesus and his disciples, who were fishermen on the Lake. You can see the Jesus Boat, an ancient fishing vessel, dating from the first century AD. It's quite possible that Jesus and his disciples used this boat.

The Sea of Galilee is a large harp-shaped lake often misquoted for a sea. Geographically, the feedwater flowed from Lebanon. Biblical towns like Capernaum, Chorazin, Bethsaida, Tabgha, and Tiberias dotted its shores.

Trailing the the ministry of Jesus, many significant events happened in here. Peter, Andrew, John, and James were recruited at the shores. They were simple fishermen at the lake. The miracles Jesus walking on water, calming the violent storm, and the bounty catch of fish were on this lake. Jesus exorcised a possessed man, and the casted out demon went into a herd of pigs which plunged in the lake.

We cruised the lake for spiritual experiences and a closer view of the shoreline. The boatman gave us certifications and flew a Malaysian flag to commemorate our entourage of Lake Galilee.

This was fun as well as informative and, of course, spiritual. We boarded a boat for a cruise around the sea and the captain taught us the Hora. It was so much fun. After we went to see the boat from Jesus’ time that was found washed up on the shore. It took decades of work and dedication to restore it.

We took a boat tour at the Sea of Galilee. It was a cool and fresh morning and the boat ride was calm. To view what Jesus and his disciples see is a sacred experience.

All around this area there are places to see and visit that will bring to life those stories in the bible and from school.

A family of 3, we travelled to Tiberias and wanted a boat ride experience. My Dad had been on Daniel Carmel’s boat 3 years ago so that’s why I chose this boat. The experience is around 30 to 40 mins, you don’t go out very far. Daniel sings a couple of songs and back you go. We were charged a total of 210 shekels for the 3 of us which is £52 / 62 dollars.

The company welcomed us on board and shared many of the significant sites along the route. We saw the cliff where the pigs that Jesus cast demons into jumped from into the sea, the town where Jesus grew up, the boat that was from the time of Jesus and his disciples.

We drove right round the "sea" and stopped off at various points.
It is very beautiful, especially at sun set.
We didn't do a boat trip, just enjoyed the views from the shore.
