So we just did the ramp, only because we were there and I just don't get the hype. We walked up a spiral ramp, I don't immediately see anything worth going to the top for...

It's really 40 steps with a sculpture in the middle. There are also some figure sculptures here and there on the street leading to the 40 steps.

Just like the title, Busan donggwangdong 40 stairs and Cultural Center is just behind the spiral staircase. That's where you will learn the history of Busan and the staff was rather attentive and eager to share with me Busan's history in his mother tongue. Anyhow one can still learn the history from the exhibition as there are English translation.

Just a few figures and colourfull walls. I had to go to this area anyway, but if you don't live here, it's not worth going especially to this place....kinda overrated

We get to this place from Jungan Station, exit 11, and it's just around the corner. The time we went is just perfect coz there's just very few locals and tourists. The feeling around the area is very relaxing with European style cafes around where you can just there and enjoy the scene.

From the tourist streets to residential areas is a mere block away. Worth walking around, seeing beautiful architecture, small parks, very small local restaurants.

Available writeups from the web indicate that this is a street with a stairway. It is actually an area with revived historical streets and statues plus the name sake 40-steps. Yes, its exactly 40 steps...where its almost impossible to take a private shot for the album as many tourists will try to do the same all the time! Two subway... More

Peaceful cultural stop in a relaxing spot. It's quiet and low key, great for those interested in Korean history and culture. Art lovers will find a nearby alley full of colorful displays.

Had decided to checked out the area as was looking for something interesting to do. There are some sculptures in the area. We found the flight of steps and took some photos too. There are some murals that you can check out in he area but not too extensive. Quite some foreign pubs can be found there too. Nice walk... More
