If you want to experience a genuine local scenery in Busan, I'd like to suggest trying to visit Gamsheon village for walking and strolling for a couple of hours. It used to be an underdeveloped residential area, but the houses and murals painted by local artists have turned it into a tourist attraction which is perfect for photography. If you want to get a picture of your life, you must not miss this place. However, remember that you've got to wear sneakers rather than high heels for sure! And I also would recommend visiting on a windy day rather than a very hot day.

This was a nice stroll through interesting streets. Loads a viewing platforms and photo opportunities. We enjoyed a delicious smoothie in one of the many cafes offering a view of the town. The tourist information centre was very helpful and sends you on your way with a map and some tips on where to go

A picturesque town and great for taking pictures! You will need at least half a day to walk around and soak in the sight, smell and sound (to minimize noise as residents are still living there!).

Used to be poor residential area that turned out to be a tourist place after they added murals to the houses and added colours. Interesting and pretty decors and paintings around. A bit touristy, not so good for foods as I got cheated with what supposed to be fried chicken with sweet & spicy sauce that was turned out to be “no piece of chicken but only fried dough” (!!) for the cost of KRW 5,000 a cup. But there are lots of shops selling nice souvenirs.

Really big place to explore. Don't leave without taking photos at key photo views like "I (heart) Gamcheon" and the Little Prince installations! The roads are quite steep so not really accessible. There are residents so visitors will have to be mindful with the noise level. The residents also make and sell handicrafts, so do support them!

Very pretty village with a very authentic look about it . The locals are very friendly and welcoming . The vistas are certainly very nice and unusual . Many shops were blissed during our visit as they are only starting to recover from prolonged closures . Looking v forward to visit this place when it fully reopens . Good to take a taxi there to the tourist information office and start your tour from there .

I cannot recommend this enough. I spent 4 days in Busan seeing practically everything. I did this on the last day and it was my favourite attraction. Loved the colours. I felt like I was back in South America. Walk and enjoy. Wear good shoes as you will climb up and down and some of the paving is uneven. I was doing a photography walking tour with a guide. If you go alone, get an information leaflet which will point out the main attractions and trails. It is easy to get lost! Residents do live here so be mindful with noise. There are a few eateries located around. As I said I was with a guide, otherwise transport wise you need to take a bus from the nearest metro station or a taxi.

A must visit here. You can purchase the map of the village where you collect stamps of all the sites you're supposed to see. Makes it a bit more interactive. However, there aren't exactly clear signs of how to finish the course so I was a little lost. Or maybe it's just me. Having said that, everyone should still give this place a visit. It's easily accessible via local bus lines.
