I came here on Monday by walking (10km++) from Cheomseongdae observatory and I'm glad I did it because I got to see and observe many things (including wait a train crossing in front of me). If I'm not mistaken it only cost you 1700 won by bus. Not a lot of people there during that time maybe because it was... More

We chanced upon the area by accident while walking from the amusement park, and it was a very pleasant surprise to find beautiful views. Four of us immediately rented a duck boat, and off we paddled around the lake. Took many good photos, and we had a great time steering a little too near to the coast. Definitely one of... More

We went here on a Saturday and due to popularity of this part of Korea there was lots of traffic on the way and many people around the lake and patronizing the coffee shops and eateries. The place is most attractive with its lake and mountains and there are many lakefront hotels. The spring blossom was magnificent.

It is an artificial lake with expensive lakefront hotels but is a convenient place to walk around and stay close enough to get to Bulguksa temple 15 odd kilometres away. The whole Gyeongju region is pretty, laid back and mountainous so expect places to eat too close by 9.30 pm.

We stayed in hotel by the lake, and the view along the lake is amazing and beautiful, especially during sunset. We enjoyed walking along the lake in the afternoon, and it's not so cold during winter.
