Part of the Galle fortifications. In earlier times a hospital nowadays it accommodates shops and restaurants. Luckily this building hasn’t lost its historical appearance 👍🏻.

Well… I was probably misleaded by the word “shopping precinct” – but I was quite disappointed when I got there. Of course, the building of the former Dutch hospital is looking nice and it’s a good example for the colonial architecture in the fort area....More
Very beautiful building, especially at night. Sitting outside and grabbing a beer while the salty sea breeze cools you down is perfect. Also, the local Casanova will try to chat up your girlfriend when you're off to take pictures. XD Learnt my lesson though, never...More

Lovely building which has been converted into a range of bars, restaurants and shops but retained the original features and charm. You can also eat and drink outside in the courtyard
Its worth a visit as it offers a good architecture. It was part of the historic Galle Fort, now it hosts shops and expensive restaurants.

Beautiful old fort building. Shops a little sparse but a good compact Batefoot and Odel. Lots of good restAurants and bars to chose from. Well worth a visit
