Visited solo with a taxi cab. Well worth the visit. Beautiful and lush plains and variety of plant and animal life.

I visited the crater at the end of the dry period. This gave an interesting view on the dryed up salt lake. Beautiful contrasts in the colour of the vegetation, rocks, burned grass patches, sky and dryed up lake. Pro's -Many lions. -Very open terrain gives nice view on moving herds of warthogs, wildebeests and zebras. Cons -Low density on... More

We spend a two nights at Sopa lodge and a full day in the Creator...its great but it would have been a better use of time to concentrate on the Seringetti because of the abundance of animals there...

We were fortunate enough to spend most of a day in the area. Many animals still there for the time of year,September. We were actually able to spot a Rhino as we were leaving the crater.A photographers paradise for sure!

The most wildlife enviroment in Africa. We saw the biggest buffalos and elephants of Africa, lions hunting, the ground is pink because there a thousands of flamingos. Is the best place to take the best pics from wildlife, better than Kruger, Etosha, Victoria,Serengueti, Trangire, Manyara, Chobe,... Wonderful

Fantastic game viewing as most of the animals reside in the crater year round because of the abundance of food and water. We were there at the end of the dry season and still managed to see the Hoopoe bird (We were on a Hoopoe Safari tour) and a Black Rhino among many, many others and stayed at the rim... More

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Tanzania. The Crater is such an interesting place with the very large number of different types of animals and birds in one area. The scenery is spectacular and so varied depending on whether one is on the rim or the floor of the crater.

Saw more animals in this national park but when watching the animals it sometmes felt like a safari park as there was so many tourists in their landrovers. But good sallection of animals and easy to find.
