If you were short on time and had to pick one day to spend a day at a park in Tanzania; the Ngorngoro crater would be the place to be . A Contained and self sustained eco system ensured that we got to view a dense population of everything that Tanzania had to offer .. we saw multiple packs of... More

En route we saw giraffe, which was like a scene from Jurassic Park. In the crater we saw a huge variety of animal, such as fox, ostrich, zebra, hippo and so many more. We all really enjoyed a time here and I vee much recommend a visit here.

Breathtaking - largest caldera in the world. Wildlife, sunrise, natural surroundings. Slightly chilly - bring a sweater! A must see part of a safari in Tanzania

Finally made it to this iconic spot. Tons of wildlife. Gorgeous views. Only issue is it isn't that large an area, so when car spots a pride of lions or some hippos wallowing happily ins some muddy water....it doesn't take long to attract a horde of viewers, and some drivers are too aggressive (get too close or drive poorly annoying... I camped one night at the crater rim and the sights were amazing. Was really trying to see my final Big 5 with the Rhino. We did see but he was off in the distance but the morning at the crater rim is just beautiful although cold nights in the tent.

Simply wow - atmosphere, landscape & fauna really outstanding - after having seen so much shades of brown in serengeti, my eyes were blessed with these beautiful shades of green.

I didn't like the Serengeti experience even though we saw lion and leopard etc. We didn't here but saw masses of zebra, Wildebeest, buffalo etc. More importantly we didn't experience the mass jeeps that we did in Serengeti. This may well have been because we didn't see any of the big ones but for me it made for a much... More

Ngurdoto is inside the Arusha NP. This park is interesting not so much for the wildlife (in comparison to other parks this side of Tanzania), but has great scenary. From the Ngurdoto Crater to the wonderful Momella lakes, with possibility of canoeing or trekking up Mt Meru, or climbing it to the top! There is action for everyone at Arusha... More
