Climb to the top

I recommend a motocycle taxi to the upper base, where you can walk the endless stairs to the temple at top. Great views and lots of monkeys. At the base, many fresh seafood stalls... read more

There is a nice quiet but developing town on the road side with some good food available. For me the downside is the volume of monkeys on the hill that put you off fully... More

......mosquitoes, red ants and thorns . The steep climb up after the temple requires you to wear proper shoes and preferably long pants. Great view :)

We took a drive here as it flagged up on TripAdvisor. I expected it to be amazing with loads of monkeys and some extra special temple up the top of the 101 steep steps you have to climb! The big gold Buddha was good to see. We didn't see any monkeys, just big lumps of monkey poo. Once at the... More

Taxi took us from hotel to the top of the hill, nice temple and scenery but would recommend a max of an hour for the place as limited amount to see Lots of cheeky monkeys too so beware of your belongings!

We spent half a day in this area. We were lazy and had the taxi take us up to the temple and down again. Because it was quite hot and humid. I found the monkeys to be creepy and I was super afraid of my bag as I heard stories of other tourist that gotten their phone stolen while taking... More

Drove ourselves, please don't do that, it is buried in the middle of nowhere, and difficult to find with sat nav , nevermind directions, beautiful genuine temple, covered in monkeys , absolutely free , well worth a visit ,even in a tropical storm like our day was still great fun
