I was really looking forward to this and street food by the lake but it is not open all year road in slow season....not even a couple of good stalls. So if you were looking forward to this beware.

Not overcrowded. Relaxed atmosphere. Night market with a lot of food that you eat at low table sitting on a carpet next to the lake. Being next to the lake is very peaceful. We stayed 2 days (during the loop) and we enjoyed every minute...More

Compared to Chiang Mai, it's very small, compared to Pai, it's much more peaceful and more local. We went twice and bought a few things. Unfortunately the last day rain kept away a lot of stalls. It's quite romantic by the lake and the illuminated...More

Very lively place. Street food from stalls was so much good that didnt need to go to restaurants. Recommend trying squid eggs, chicken skewers and pork barbeque, papaya salad, minced pork in banana leaf and stir fry noodles.

Staying in MHS for 2 night and decided to visit this place as there's nothing much to do when the sun sets. Place is decent and has many street food stalls. The prices are cheap too. Good place to check out!

We stayed in Mae Hong Son for 2 days/one night. Stayed at the Ngamta Hotel, so easy walking distance to the local Wat followed by a pretty good street market. The highlight of the walking street market is the quantity and quality of the food....More

Thailand is full of "walking streets" and Night markets. Some of them bustling, some more annoying than entertaining. Some full of cheap souvenirs and "bling-bling", others are true gems, full of indigenous handicraft and goods for day-to-day life in countryside Thailand - and, of course,...More

A really nice market with a beautiful setting next to the lake and great atmosphere. It is like most other markets with food stalls (really cheap and great food!) and souvenirs. But most items are hand made and quite unique. A great experience when you...More
