    Upsetting experience
I asked our driver if we were going to a tiger sanctuary. I was assured we were and that they were well treated. I felt sick the moment I walked through the front door and saw this beautiful, magnificent tiger lying on a platform in a small area waiting to be patted, being used as a circus sideshow instead of being in his natural environment. He looked out of it, IMO he was drugged. I turned round and walked out ashamed I'd even walked through the door. I can't believe people think this is an acceptable tourist attraction.
Hi Christine, thank you for letting us know your thoughts. I am sorry that didn’t spend any time with us getting to know how we look after and care for the tigers. If you had stayed, you would have been able to talk to our keepers and see that our tigers are not under sedation. Unfortunately, the driver gave you unrealistic expectations and I apologise for that.

Only worth if you have kids
Though the experience of getting clicked with Tigers and Cheetah is one of a kind, the entry fees charges and long wait times are really painful. The experience is only worth if you really starve for getting clicked with tiger or you have kids who long so. Overall in my opinion not worth the time and money.
Hi, thank you for visiting and for leaving a review. We are busy at the moment so the waiting times are longer than we would like, so we apologise for this. We recommend arriving before 11 am to avoid long queues.

    Sadness
Phuket Tiger Kingdom You walk in with a sense of exhilaration, you walk out with a sense sadness. There's no doubt that being able to approach and touch these legendary predators is amazing. But, in approaching my first tiger I couldn't help but feel that something was amiss, and this feeling was confirmed time and again with each new encounter. The animals were listless, lethargic, dejected, and resigned. The company claims they're not drugged, but you can’t help but wonder. The most disturbing part was the constant harassment the animals are subjected to; endlessly having a tree branch waved in their faces to get the felines to lift their head for the perfect photo opp. with each visitor, poked and prodded with the baton each handler wields to intimidate and assert their dominance. I walked away from Tiger Kingdom feeling a sense of sadness for these majestic animals.
Hi, thank you for visiting us, we are sorry that you didn’t enjoy the experience. Most visitors are upset if the tigers are asleep so the staff were simply trying to give you the best experience. However, in this instance, they should have let the tiger rest. But you must understand that they are not drugged, why would we sedate them so that they are asleep only to keep trying to wake them up, it would make no sense at all. The Tigers sleep almost all day regardless of what is going on around them as they are so used to it.

Cruel and a waste of money
The waiting system is a joke they said a 50 min wait we were there over 2 hours. Once you are inside the the conditions which the tigers are kept are compact. They had many tigers in a cage which was not large. The tigers were just trying to rest and were hounded to stay awake with sticks. Regret contributing money to this was not enjoyable to see.
Sorry that you had to wait for so long, we are very busy at the moment so recommend arriving at 9 AM to avoid long queues.

This is not a zoo but a big cat photo shoot
So firstly this is not a zoo. It’s a big cat photoshoot. You don’t walk around and observe the animals, you walk in take some photos and walk out. The animals are 100% sedated! There is no denying that. You do get a sense of shame when your there but… I got some great photos but I think it’s over priced. Cost me around £60 for photos with the big tiger.
We can absolutely deny that the tigers are sedated because they aren't. It does not take too much common sense to work out that it is not possible or feasible to constantly sedate tigers (in secret and without anyone ever seeing it happen) even if we wanted to, which we don't. It is not necessary or ethical, and it would make the animals too unpredictable to get close to. Furthermore, it would not take long for the animals to get sick and die from this sort of abuse. Please try to understand some basic facts before you spread harmful lies.

    Cruel and disgraceful
I went to this park with high intentions and was extremely disappointed. The tigers are drugged (absolutely obvious to see) despite their brochure saying they do not do this. At one point when walking through the enclosure a tiger started to walk to a group of people who had their backs turned and a trainer smashed several sticks over its head and neck. The grounds are smelly, dirty & in need of repair. Personally I'm disappointed in myself to giving in to this experience and going when clearly the animals are distressed. This is not a place for young children.
Thank you for your concern. The tiger you describe sounds awake and alert, so I am not sure how you could ascertain that they are sedated. To be fair, you have probably never seen a tiger which is under sedation, so you don't know what to look out for, but it is a shame that you spread your ignorance in this way. This point aside, I will be passing your feedback to the team so that we can improve.

    Tourism Animal Abuse trap.
Unfortunately this place isn't good. I really wanted to like this place however they whip Tigers with sticks if the tiger does not pose for photos. There is a sign saying they offer treats and such however this is false information. It's a pure tourism trap and not Ethical at all. The tigers get hurt and brutally hit.off the sticks the keepers carry leaving open gash marks and scars on the tigers skin. If you look at the photos of these animals u can see the damage done by the sticks hitting the sides and back.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is true that our tigers are sometimes manoeuvred with the sticks (because it is safer than using one’s hand) but they should not be used to hit the tigers. It is also true that some tigers have marks or scars on their bodies, this is because our tigers still have their teeth and claws and are allowed to play with each other. Sometimes, the play gets a little rough and the tigers may cause a small wound. This behaviour is not discouraged as it prevents boredom and stress in captive animals and is an important part of our tiger's enrichment and development. Tigers are very hardy animals and do not even notice the wounds that they inflict on each other, we have vets on hand if any treatment is required. What is not true, however, is that all of the tigers have ‘damage’ as you describe, this is clear to see from the many photos of our tigers that are available online.

    Love cats. ❤️
This was a good experience, although after being to their sister one in Chiang Mai this just misses the mark. The animals are looked after and cared for however it really needs a upgrade . The viewing areas are secluded and you are unable to view others interacting with the tigers etc. However the grand children loved it and that was the main aim. Putting people's minds at rest the cats are not drugged....the Chiang Mai Tiger Kingdom did a fantastic tutorial that was very informative and addressed all those questions, this one was not that well operated.

Was about to purchase tickets to see the tigers.
Silly rules like need to wait 1 and half hour and children below 4 not allowed can only visit cheetah???
Anyway thanks to rude and lousy altitude from receptionist ticketing, we saved the money and went else where.

Come here only if you dunno what is a tiger.

We went to have an up-close encounter with the tiger. The customer service was excellent, and the tiger handles as well. The Tigers are obviously sedated as they seem sleepy and not interacting. I'm sure that is what makes it easier and safer for the encounter. It felt great to touch a tiger and be so close to this beautiful animal. However, I did feel a little gently afterward, considering the obvious of the tigers being sedated. Otherwise, the experience was great.

A wonderful experience to spend time with the tigers although a little expensive at 900 bahts.

We could spend 10 minute with a Medium tiger ( 2 yrs old) , as informed by the caretaker.

A good place to take pic with tigers !!!

This was the most amazing experience of my life ♥ I was very scared upfront and my friend to but i am so happy i did this ♥ I feel the staff does everything to protect you.I don't believe what some people say here that they are drugged..as most animals also cats and dogs sleep a lot of their time ..One was wakie and they just calm him down. The staff gives you instructions what not to do and what can.Ofcourse they have a stick..what if one attacks ? They just can use their hands to protect or to calm him down ?? The animals are well fed ..they are fresh and smell good and are clean. The cages are clean to.They have green to walk and play in .But when i went it was raining so they where in the cages..A cat or dog also lives in a house no ? When rain theey are inside aswell.I don't understand the negative comments..The trainers are such a lovely team ♥And yes ..ofcourse ..they get paid for this ..it's an attraction..but so is a zoo and those animals have a much smaller garden .Also the tigers here get their food..they don't have to hunt..So i think ..They are the mannequins of the jungle here ..possing for a roof and food plus a garden is'nt so bad is it ?Ofcourse running free is always better ..But then again..if they are born here they don't know any better and i thibk born in there they can't survive in a jungle ..Because they are raised otherwise..So depents on how you look at it.But i azm sure ..all the people in there that work with the tigers are lovely and caring people ♥ I am also sure they will never harm the tigers .I love Thailand and it's lovely people ..always smiling ..always gentle..And many people here live from toerism.. so are many country's ..notting wrong with that ..Keep up your great work in the Tiger Kingdom ..Thank you so much for the amazing hours we spend at your place ♥

Amazing experience. Loved the cubs more than the adult tigers. Its definitely worth the time. Just one thing to keep in mind is, for kids to see the small tigers, adult must accompany so please factor adult ticket cost if you are booking small tigers. They do not allow kids to go alone without adult.
