Winding its way through a truly dramatic 1400 rai former tin mine site in the heart of Phuket, Red Mountain is one of Asia's most exciting new courses that officially opened in 2008. The course has been cleverly routed to take advantage of a huge variety of landforms and dizzying elevation changes. Scars left from the tin mine era have been imaginatively incorporated into the overall scheme, creating a unique character at the same time as establishing an indelible link with an important era in the Island's past. Designer Jon Morrow and co-designer Al Tikkanen, have created a highly strategic and challenging 6,900 yard lay out to complement the shorter and gentler Loch Palm which is next door. While the course is undoubtedly challenging, numerous risk and reward options create a fun playing environment, an exhilarating test of golf and a breathtaking scenic tour around a course that has become a golfing landmark in the region.

The grounds of the golf club are fabulous, red mountains and postcard valleys. The signature hole (par 3 - don't remember which number) is unique as you play your ball like from atop 350 meters above the level of the green and when you actually find the green you feel as if you were a magician as you don't believe... This is considered the best course in Phuket. I would agree. It's an old tin mine. Fairways needing attention and the condition should be a lot better for what their charging for 18 holes. Roughly $200.00 AUS a round plus caddie. The food here in the club house was fantastic. Good choice of Thai and western. Well presented fresh and... More

This course is a must play while being on Phuket. Great facilities, friendly staff, good caddies and a fantastic golf course. Spectacular holes, well maintained and juicy greens. Not an easy course and not the cheapest either but worth the investment. We will be back.

Booked Red Mountain prior to arriving in Phuket, knowing how expensive it would be. On arriving, met with a warm welcome from all staff. Walked through to the course area and hit the 'wow' factor of the stunning scenery from the clubhouse area. Introduced to the caddies and 'ready to tee off'. Course in good nick, a good variety of... From a good players point of view not every hole is a great golf hole but every hole looks great as the course is built inside an old tin mine. That's not to say there are not a lot of exciting and challenging holes I would for sure play here again but the photos are more important than your score... More

We played here as part of a golfing package with include a stay and play at Loch Palm and Red Mountain Golf Courses. Red Mountain is definitely more challenging than Loch Palm Golf Club. However, the course is very well laid up with the beautiful scenery at every hole. The caddies are also well trained. We had intermittent rain so... More

As with all courses in Phuket ,deep pockets are needed. When will they ever figure out that more people will play if they charge the same as other regions in Thailand.I work in oil and gas but cannot justify spending Aus 330.00 for a round of golf.Played in Sept and course was totally water logged and greens cored yet no discount... Dear Johny0001, Thank you for your review. We appreciated for your comments. Please be informed that the green was coring since 6th – 7th June 2016 and during recovering we gave 20% discount until end of June 2016. The courses have rain check policy with the sign show at the pro-shop to inform the golfer that if play less than... More

Beautiful course would love to play on it everyday the layout was great and challenging for the two of us me being a + 20 handicap and my mate a+2 handicap and only 5000bt green fees was more then worth it. Food needs a little help but was tasty at least.

Absolutely beautiful course 20 minutes from Patong. Pricey compared to Australian courses but you aren't likely to be allowed on a course of this standard in Australia.
