Close your eyes and imagine heaven... That's exactly how I would describe rawai beach. Long stretched out white sandy beach. Great view. Big long pier.

We was surprise about it, everybody speak about rawai beach is a beach bu not.. for us is pear for speed boat, ok the restaurant near to it is nice but we was disapointed about this place, place full of chinese ..
Not the best place to hang out but you can catch a boat to the outer islands and see what's being caught that day.
Such a fun spot to enjoy the view and have a fresh seafood lunch overlooking the ocean. If you barter hard enough with the local restaurants its an excellent lunch for an excellent price!
This isn't a beach I would recommend for swimming in as it is a working beach but the landscape is beautiful and it was good fun walking around, looking at the traditional fisherman boats and eating at the restaurants along the beach wall.
We have tried Thai restaurants all over the island and still have yet to find better local Thai cuisine than is available on Rawai beach. Excellent Thai seafood served with a local Thai smile.
definitely not the beach to go to if you want to go swimming and relax on the beach, however, this beach offers what most beaches don't. .... readily available transport to other islands, the price seems to be cheaper by going directly to the boat...More
