Interesting museum about Isan history. Interaction with Laos. Some techniques from Iron Age are, today, in use (small way). A good job of Unesco, not sure possible today. A place to visit when in Isan.

The museum is well done and there is English text available on most displays. At 150B per person the entrance fee is reasonable. I wish there were actual sites to be seen instead of life size models. This is a worthwhile visit if you are...More

Given what they had to work with, this museum was wonderful. Tons of information and interesting exhibits. The only problem is accessibility. We were able to catch a taxi at the mall for a reasonable price.

This museum does a good job of explain the Ban Chiang discovery ... it's not their fault it's a rather boring discovery. Yes, it changed a timeline for SE asian habitation but that's literally it. The people who made the famous pots were not particularly...More

Historical and archaeological site of global significance. Lots of very well preserved and decorated pottery, grave sites, and glass/jade/bronze artefacts apparently dating from around 2000 BC to 200 AD. Also features an authentic dig site, preserved as a museum exhibit. You can see the entire...More
