Whether by your own boat of on one of the tour boats, it is worthwhile seeing these islands. The commercial tours will take you through a loop by the more noteworthy islands and provide interesting commentary and history of the region.

Not knowing what to expect, we stayed 2 days in Clayton and 2 days in Alexandria Bay. It was the perfect amount of time in both places. Make sure you do the museum in both towns and the Uncle Sam Boat Ride and Boldt Castle.
