A physically small but emotionally vast synagogue with complex histories as well as recent tragedies. If possible, secure a guide who is familiar with the dual Jewish cultures of Tunisia - the story is riveting. Examine the wishing wall and learn about the foundation stone....More

High security and I understand why. A haven of peace. Restoration is stunning. The artifacts are a wonder of the world for all religions. I can't explain in words my experience. An absolute must when in Djerba.

There isn't much to see in the area so if you are in Djerbahood, it is worth stopping in. The main gathering was pretty but not much going on besides that.
