Pupput is only 5DT to visit, in my view, if it were in the UK it would cost ten times more.

We visited here as part of a tour of different areas. Most of the tourists were French. So the tour guide spoke in both languages throughout the tour. As he liked to talk, a lot, we decided to go and walk around the site ourselves....More

We visited Pupput in March 2018, we had walked from our hotel in Hammamat (about 1 mile) the area round the site is a bit run down. From the road you can hardly find the entrance and you wonder what you are spending your hard...More

The people working on the site are friendly. If you've never seen Roman ruins before this would be a great start. The mosaics have retained much of their vibrant colors. We were told that the entire neighborhood has ruins underground that have yet to unearthed....More

Lovely trip and interesting but could have longer there as I love the old ruins and the history but every one seemed in a rush to get back on the coach, we love Tunisia and look forward to going again when we can

Disliked nothing about Pupput, it is a history buffs ideal. When you get there it looks like nothing but walk down the seemingly empty field and it all unravels, only for those interested in Roman history though.Been here 2 times and it is fantastic to see...More

Had a great visit. Very interesting and had a guide who was helpful. Actually he was a technician who worked at the site but very knowledgeable. My wife and I love Roman archaeology so we enjoyed our hour spent walking around. Nice in situ mosaics...More

Little of this late Roman/early Byzantine site has been excavated. Apart from a few title plaques (in French) there is no interpretation. This didn't particularly bother us as we understand the general layout of such sites. There were some mosaics of a moderate standard. An...More

We didn't feel safe to have a look around on our own, and from what we could see it is not worthwhile taking the risk

This is a significant Roman site with plenty to see if you are interested, including several mosaics. The entrance fee is minimal, but that is as it should be, since the signage is almost non-existent and the paths are muddy. I seemed to be the...More
