Our partners have organized one day for excursions and we visited Bourghiba Mausoleum. Should point out that locals highly respect the President Bourghiba, even collected some amount and built a monument for him. So we were told all details about childhood, education, political and private life of Habib Bourghiba. Park area is in front and full of families with kids,... More

Very interesting place to visit with, of course, the respect due to this very clever person! I was hapy to discover many objects from this personality and like to visit his Monastir palace as well.

We got a taxi from Sousse to come here which was cheap. The Mosque and the surrounding area is stunning and managed to take some really nice pictures. If you come for a tour I would recommend to wear suitable clothing otherwise the locals become a bit unfriendly as noticed looking at other tourists.

an interesting place but not what I could call a safe place with plenty of locals wanting to take you on a lecture tour for a big tip

This is a very nice and impressive memorial. I was here on a weekday in November, not a lot of tourists then, I think we were the only ones there. It`s also free to get in, go have a look.

Beautiful place to visit in Monastir. You must go and see even if just to get pics taken of it. Its only a 10 minute walk from the Port in Monastir.

Worth a visit and not too expensive. You can pay a guide to give you information. There is information there but wr found a guide useful. Guides are not official but you negotiate a tip money fee, ifbits closed when you get there look through railings as often the guard will let you in for a small fee.

Nothing impressive about this site, I can just pass by it without being curious to check it at all. A part from seeing how Bourguiba wasted a lot of tax payers money for his tomb nothing to see.

Thank Hamza C
