If you are in Side You should go there. Great view and historical atmosphere. Sunset near temple is very impressive. As I know it’s better to go there after high season (because of tourists)

This is the symbol of Side, the most photographed place, so it's a must. Impresive ancient architecture, looks good at dusk.

What a beautiful setting best at sunset. Watch the restoration of the site as it happens. Walk around the houses and see how they lived. How did they get those columns up straight ?? and then put the tops on ???

Free to the public and no harassment from hawkers. Total joy to visit and walk around. They are busy reconstructing other ruins which was interesting to watch. Nice bars and restaurants in the area

Nice to see if you are in the area shopping - we stumbled across this having had a meal in the town. Was lovely lit up at night.

You could travel by bus, it's the cheapest way, or if you want to take in more sites you could go on an organised trip or if your more adventurous hire a car for the day and explore the surrounding areas.
