Great place to go

Great place to visit and found it very beautiful place and lots of history. Not far from the shops and bars and you can have some great photos between the temple of Apollo.

Lots of columns are not real (steel reinforced concrete) and previous local gov policies have had an effect on originality HOWEVER look closer and you will find tesari (Small mosaic tiles) in the street ancient carvings and sarcophagus lids you have to step over washed up coins after storms and other treasures normally found in museums. Awesome place!

These pillars stand between the two main beaches in Side. They make a good photo opportunity at sunset and seem to be a main attraction for wedding parties to come for a photo shoot. As you walk around there are more historic sites surrounding the pillars and they stand between the two beaches.

This was something we had planned on seeing during our time in Side but we walked around a corner by the sea and there it was! Hard to miss. Still standing after such a long time it's quite special in that you can walk right up and touch the ruins. Some great pictures and easy to find when wandering around... More

Walking by the harbour found the temple IT'S FREE and although there is the odd local who do the tour guide bit they do leave you alone if your not interested. This area is littered with ruins to explore just wonder around and soak up the history.

Beautiful structure right on the beach, just as the gods intended. We found it by accident as we walked the long way into Side and along the seafront, it just appeared out of nowhere. So beautiful and majestic. If you time it right you can get photos without people in it. What a find and so rare to be able... More

Great historic buildings dating back to Roman times; being flat it was ok to walk along the made up pavement area ( not easily suitable for wheelchairs ) from the bus station into Side to shops and restaurants. The marina down the water front area is a great place to visit and have lunch.

The has been substantial restoration work on this as evidenced by the steel reinforcing that is showing through the concrete rather than the original stone but notwithstanding it is still quite the impressive ruins.
