This tomb, which is also the symbol of Bursa, is one of the most beautiful and unique samples of Ottoman tomb architecture. A lead dome perched on a high hoop covers the octagonal structure, which can be climbed via a marble stairway.

An amazing tomb. Both the location and structure are striking and serene. But the remarkable Turquoise tile work inside is a sight to be seen.

This is one of the eight sites which are group-listed as the World Heritage Site known as Bursa: Birthplace of the Ottamon Empire. It is a magnificent 15th century tomb of an early Ottamon sultan. What really makes it so special is the extraordinary Iznik tiles which cover both the interior and exterior. Some of them have a distinctly green... More

One of the tourist attractions in Bursa been visited by both domestic and international tourist dailly. This shrine is not juts a complexes of Tombs but also about the art of Green mozaik or tiles during Ottoman era. Next to Green Mosque which is absolutely great in their architecture and absolutely touristic area.

The tomb of Çelebi Mehmet (Ottoman sultan) is called Yeşil Türbe (Green Tomb) because of the colors of the tiles... Most of the tiles were replaced and the quality of the restoration job was poor so they couldn't quite catch the turquoise color of the original tiles so it looks blueish now. You can see some tiles that look older,... More

The mausoleum whilst elegant and impressive is yet simple and down to earth. Walking into a tomb with all the caskets is eerie. Although this is supposed to be a mausoleum after the in family rivalry ended, two casks of brothers bears the same date of death. Makes one think.
