We reached Uchisar from Goreme, with a rented buggy. It's on the Nevsehir-Goreme road, about 5-6 km from Goreme. From the top of the castle, you cand see Mount Erciyes in the distance. The panorama of the surrounding area is lovely. We really enjoyed talking a walk/climb between the rooms hollowed into the rocks and connected by tunnels or stairs.... More

we saw the Uchisar Castle and the surrounding ancient houses; the scenery is beautiful; the ancient houses are hollowed out into the rocks and form amazing shapes.

We were staying at the Argos Hotel there in Uchisar In May 2014 and in our travels around the area, it was hard not to continually see "the castle". The temptation was too great, so these two 69 year olds just had to give the climb a try. Parked just below the entry and commenced our climb--actually it wasn't difficult... More

We were in good hands since stepping on Turkish soil. We were always sure of capable arrangements, good guides and excellent drivers. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

It's the highest point of Cappadocia and if you climb, you will have a holistic view to all vallies and lands. It's charming and the climb is relatively easy. Payment fee is only 7tl per person.

A very nice way to spend and hour. At 7TL it's not very expensive. You do need to be able to climb stairs to get to the top but they are fine if you go slow. The view is superb!

we could not climb to the top as we had a 4 year child. People who did were very happy to see the scenic beauty of this place. Lot of shopping around this place , especially the dolls.

Has good panoramic view of Cappadocia. Very close to the Gerome town. Not too difficult to climb. There is a small entry fee.
