We went with the city tour bus, so they explained us a little bit about how they make the stones and how it turns into jewelry. It's nice to see the work. Afterward, they take you to the store. As everything in turkey, you have to negotiate. It's very hard to get a lot of discount, but you have to... More

Visited this gemstones showroom. Showcases of various types of jewellery and accessories made from gemstones. Also a good varieties of Turkish souvenirs. Most items are costly. It's appropriate for those who has interest to buy otherwise it's little pointless to visit. Was inside for 15 minutes and left without buying a thing. Just used the washroom and left.

Avoid ever buying from them especially if your tour guide brings you here. The prices (which are already 2 to 3 times the price of regular stores in Capodoccia & Istanbul) are not written in which currency so they tell you its USD instead of Turkish Lira. In other words, its about 4 to 5 times the price of regular... More

We went there to buy onyx. We had never heard of zultanite, a new stone exclusive to one small mine in Turkey. Wow - it changes colour, depending on the type of artificial light present at the time. Onyx went on the back burner and we came away with 2 items featuring zultanite. One was a bracelet which was too... More

There must always been a stop for shopping on tours. This was our 5th stop on our green tour. The highlight was this stop was the factory visit on how onyx is processed. And after the short demonstration, you will visit the store where you can purchase jewellery made from onyx. As I was not the fancy jewellery type, we... More

It is very common in organized tours to stop in one of those factories/shops where a short demo is made before you're taken into a very expensive jewellery shop. They had some nice stuff but it's probably way way overpriced. I wouldn't recommend going unless your tour stops there.

I visited this factory with my turkish girfriend, we like to look separately to give us some freedom to check, we realized that the prices are written in an unspecified currency, I asked to store assistant and she told me that price is in dollar, when I meet with my girlfriend she told me that prices are in TL (... Brilliant stones! They make you feel like royalty when you visit and perhaps buy something. I bought a stunning turquoise ring and they made it smaller to a perfect fit in two minutes! Amazing!
