Spending long time in Izmit I think that is essential to visit this museum. There arent crowds of people which is very good but really it is forbidden to take photos. Actually Izmit is not a touristic spot at all. It is not for that....More

Having visited many archaeological museums in Turkey, I must say that this is the only one that has made me feel truly unwlecome! Tourists are forbidden to take pictures of artefacts inside the museum and partly in the courtayrd. They are also closely followed by...More
