Sharjah stadium is in dire need of an upgrade and renovation. I found a lot of seats which were loose or broken, the stands had very poor paint work and lighting. The score board was of very old design. No one came round to sell refreshments so we had to get out of the seats to find a drinks stall.... More

If you are lucky you will be able to see the flood lights on and some game going on. The tickets are cheap and at times have free entry as well. You can imagine all the big games between the asian countries played here and still see its fresh amongst the staff there.

We went to cricket stadium with no matches. Absolutely empty stadium. The green cricket ground & pitch was welcoming us. We took lot of photographs where our cricket players have played a lot there. I believe, you do not get permission to visit cricket stadium with so much easiness in India, Absolutely, there was no problem there.

Its a big place and relatively old. Watching a game in Summer here is not advisable, but if you must see it the get caps with fans, water.

An average stadium in the heart of an average city. Sharjah has not much to offer but cricket lovers will obviously like it.

I bought a "Platinum Ticket" for the opening day of the 3rd Test between Pakistan and England, which included a pleasant lunch (the byriani was particularly good) and a seat directly behind the bowler's arm. Although there was probably less than 300 people in the stands, it was an excellent day's cricket...

Not a great venue. Full body search on entry and water, food, cigs and lighter taken. No alcohol on sale. It's cheap to get in £10 or £30 and tickets on sale at the ground.

Lovely ground which reminded me of a local county ground in England. However, if you are looking for ladies loos you might be sorely disappointed! Head for the Diamond Box area and make the point that ladies need a toilet too.....
