One if the highlights of our holiday, our guide Gum was very friendly, informative and good company! Very generous and interesting tour on bicycles, sampling lots of delicious foods we would not usually have known about and visiting to a local farm.

Such a great way to spend an evening in Hoi An. Highly recommend and book as early on your stay as possible to get a feel for this beautiful town, the yummy food and some fun extra activities ...playing bingo was so much fun. Not a clue what was going on but who cares!!

We had one of the best experiences in Hoi An with our recent walking food tour, taken by the lovely Gum. She was a gem - so knowledgeable, extremely good grasp of English and was able to tell us so much about the history of the food we tried, Hoi An and Vietnamese culture. It ended up being a private tour with just 3 of us - myself, my sister and our 61yr old mum (as tourism is down at the moment) which was a really special way to experience it. The tour stops at about 6 of hoi an’s best places to get food and Gum pointed out a bunch more along the way which are famous in their own right (and we made sure to try later in the trip). Food highlight was definitely Madam Khanh for the best Bahn mi you’ll try in Vietnam, hands down! The food we tried was all outstanding, it was honestly hard to pick a favourite but a tour highlight was doing Vietnamese bingo followed by the lantern boats at the end. So amazing! Thanks again for a wonderful tour Gum! We loved it!

Although it may sound like a cliche, my guide Gum made me feel like a friend she was taking out for an evening of food, conversation and sightseeing. From the moment she picked me up on her scooter to head for the less touristed parts of Hoi An until we parted ways several hours later after a rousing game of Hoi An Bingo, she introduced me to new and delicious foods, explained how they were made, showed me how they should be garnished and eaten, and taught me essential Vietnamese phrases. Conversation was easy and lively as she speaks exceptionally good English. It happened to be the mid month festival so I had the opportunity to launch lighted lanterns from the boat we took for a river ride. Gum taught me more in one evening about Vietnamese food, culture and values than I could ever have learned from reading books. Thanks Gum!!
