Very pretty Cathedral and with lovely buildings and a grotto on the grounds. But tourists should be mindful that this is a place of worship, so should dress respectfully, remove headwear and be quiet if entering the church.

The front gates of this church are typically locked (I guess they are open when there is a service) but my friend and I went down a small alley on the left side of the church that lead us to a side street and then back behind on the other side of the church which is typically open! We were... More

Came here on a Sunday and unfortunately the inside wasn't open for viewing (since they were preparing for a service in the afternoon). The exterior looks nice enough but isn't anything particularly remarkable. A quick visit is sufficient.

The church is probably most authentically visited on Sunday. There are several church services offered on Sunday including one in English language around ten o'clock. There is a large community of locals and expats taking part. The service takes one hour - of course those who decide to visit are expected to stay for the whole time and not to... More

During my 2 month stay in Da Nang, attending Da Nang Cathedral for weekly mass was definitely a highlight of my trip. They have mass in English at 10am.

Doesn't compare to other cathedrals both in Vietnam or Asia. Nice pastal pink colour. Good for a few pics. Sadly seems to be closed most of the day.
