The museum itself is a piece of Zambian history. It's well worth a visit. The section on David Livingstone is really interesting and the display on recent history up to Independence well worth looking at.

We hiked all the trails. Loved the bridge. I warn you about the baboons. They will charge you and try and take your bags . We had to fight to keep ours, and we witnessed two others who lost belonging to these beasts. One even open a car door in the parking lot. There were two children in the car.... More

Nicely displayed... you need a couple of hours to take it all in. I would go back again. It is close to Jolly Boys hotel less than a 5 minuet walk.

My husband and I really enjoyed walking around the museum and found it very informative. We did not realise how popular David Livingstone is in Zambia

The Livingstone Museum has a natural history museum inside, as well as exhibits on the social, cultural, and political history of the area; the signage and explanations are great, and the personal letters of David Livingstone are really well-preserved. Nice way to spend a couple of hours!

The Livingstone museum is a pleasant way to spend half of a day. It is in English and it guides you through the human evolution to the revolutions of Zambia, and even has on display the original letters from David Livingstone. At the end, it has a very nice gift shop in which you can buy a variety of souvenirs... More

During my ten day stay in Livingstone I made a point of visiting the Livingstone Museum. I was reluctant because I had reservations on quality regarding exhibits, signage and organization. Although it isn't the best museum in the world, it certainly is worth anyone's view for the historical perspective it brings to Zambia, Victoria Falls, and David Livingstone. The exhibits... More
