In 1964 Ahmed Qatawneh became the first Jordanian diver and in 1975 he became the first Jordanian Diving Instructor. In 1998 he established the Aqaba International Dive Center. Now in the hands of his son Mohamed we have a family run Dive Center offering diving courses to certify beginners as well as higher certification levels of PADI & SSI. We are still one of the best Dive Centers in Aqaba guiding and supervising certified and non-certified divers to the best dive sites that Aqaba has to offer. Our priority is to provide fun filled dives with above all strict safety precursors. Your money is not our main goal, it is your wide smile at the end of our dives together which is what we love to see. Our prices are always acceptable and suitable for all standards of a diver’s budget. We invite you to come and dive in one of the longest running Dive Centers in Aqaba and write on this website about your wonderful experiences in our humble Dive Centre. We hope to see you soon and we wish you a beautiful stay in Aqaba!

I was very pleased with the experience of diving with Aqaba int'l dive centre. Mario responded to all my queries very quickly and even asked if I had a preference for dive sites. Everyone at the store is very friendly, I was really well taken care of and the diving was amazing! Great memories from Jordan :-) Thank you!

Very chill well organized dive center to get some shore diving in while in Jordan. All accommodations done via e-mail with prompt and courteous responses. Extremely helpful dive masters that have no problem working at your comfort level. Really nice reef dive and wreck dive very close to each other. I didn't have a lot of time in Aqaba, but... More

Mario Couwe, the Belgian dive instructor, was great. He took us on two shore dives. We really enjoyed it. And Aqaba International Dive Center arranged a great snorkeling boat tour with lunch for us as well on the next day. Thanx!

We took part in a one-time diving tour (i.e. no course). I had the impression that the team takes your well-being seriously. We had to fill-in an extensive form regarding our health condition and were briefed in the problems and dangers of diving. After that, we drove to the beach and had a short introduction into diving by Mohamed. After... More

I had not dived for a while and my 16 year old daughter was keen to try it out. Aqaba International Dive Centre gave us both dive experiences that we will remember forever! Mohammed, Mario and Bruno were professional, friendly and great fun to be around. My dives were in the Japanese Garden and Cedar Pride shipwreck sites. The equipment... More

Received friendly and professional service from Mario and Bruno at AIDC. Safety comes first, but fun is a close second. Would recommend this operation to anyone without hesitation.

We did two shore dives with Mario and found the whole experience from booking to diving flawless. We hadn't dove in awhile but Mario made us feel right at ease. We visited the Japanese Gardens and Cedar Pride and they were both beautiful. We found the dive centre to be very professional from booking to diving. Would highly recommend! Bring... More

Aqaba International is an excellent dive center. Muhammad and Mario, the instructors, are very knowledgeable and they make sure that your diving experience is fantastic. Mario led me through my PADI advanced certification, and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor.

Mohamed, the owner and our diving instructor was an absolute pleasure who introduced us to this beautiful world of diving. He is very organised and skilled at diving himself with more than 20 years of experience and is a Wreck Diver qualified. So definitely has lots of experience to make you feel comfortable and reassured. They provide with you all... More

We dove two dives with Aqaba International Dive Center in March 2017. We dove to the shipwreck Cedar Pride and Japanese Garden. The dives were fantastic, as was our instructor, Mario. He was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. We were a little concerned about our own ability, because while we were certified divers, it had been more than a year since... More
