There are 5 exhibitions displayed during the visit. The first exhibition was a long line for a few swords (less than 10) and took a long time to wait. When I actually saw them, the descriptions did not have the details of the features of...More

Cost 1200 yen to get in which by Japanese standards is a lot. You have to be quiet in there and although the collection is good and beautifully displayed, it was spoilt by the 'high brow' attitude.

A great place to see a Japanese garden in Nagoya! Plus, they have an exhibition of Samurai items from the area. Try to visit in Spring or Autumn for the seasonal flowers or leaves in the gardens though.

This museum is worth the trip. Combine it with the adjacent garden. It got original pieces from the Togugawa clan itself. It got swords, armors, books, scrolls etc. Its a good place to learn more about Nagoyas history and the Togugawa branch residing in the...More

It's not different from the ordinary museum except for the famous picture scrolls of "Genji Monogatari" by Murasaki Shikibu.

I took the Me-guru Bus here and along with other non-Japanese speakers, got out anticipating a visit to the museum. However, it, along with the Hosa Bunko, is closed from December 14th to January 4th. The garden and the gift shop were open.
