The museum has exhibits and artefacts relating to the history of the area. There are short descriptions in English. This is not a big museum and one can finish it in less than an hour. Not a must do for the typical visitor. Perhaps those who are interested in history can better appreciate this attraction.

Recently renovated, the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of History is actually three museums: the Kaga-Honda Museum, the History Discovery Hall and the Hands-on Interaction Hall (seems best for kids). This museum gives a nice historical overview of the area. Exhibits are organized by time period, artifacts displayed behind glass walls in a large gallery. We were given an english guide book to use, which was easy to match up with specific exhibits. Depending on how much of a history buff you are, you can spend up to an hour... More
